He's been one of my favorite players since he was on the Yankees (even though I hate them). Its great he's finally proved the world what he can do.

What do you think of him?

Wasn't he a relief pitcher or closer for the Braves? Is he still playing? You don't hear much about him any more.

This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. When I first heard talk of this a few weeks ago I thought surely nobody would be that stupid to pay all this money just to talk to him. I don't give a damn how good you are. Nobody is THAT good. Well it appears Boston proved me wrong...lol Does anyone else think this is stupid?

Boston paid $51 million just to talk to Japanese star Daisuke Matsuzaka, if they sign him it is estimated to be an additional $12.5 million a year
This is the reason I don't watch or participate in anything MLB or NBA, just real stupid Money!!!!

51.1 million is A LOT of money. Now they're saying he wants another 45 million!! Who does this guy think he is?? He's too old in my opinion for that sort of money. There's a BIG difference between pitching in Japan and MLB. I wouldn't sign his *** for that kind of money.

Brandon Webb from Arizona wins. Hoffman is a reliever but got a lot of votes and came in second. Carpenter was third after being fairly close in stats, plus a World Series ring. Oswalt had a lower ERA than Webb and came in fourth for a Houston team that did as much as Arizona. What do you think? Who shoulda win? Do you agree with Webb?
