Baseball seems boring to many people because, unlike football, there are 162 games to slog through. Football has 16 regular season games, the hype is big, the action is hard-hitting, and each game (because there are so few) have a lot of playoff implications.
Baseball, on the other hand - it means very little if you have a three-game losing streak in May. Plus, no one really wants to watch the Royals and D-Rays (except maybe their fans). Only the last few weeks of the season are exciting and then only for the few teams that are still playing for something. Personally I love baseball, but I can see why some people think it could be boring.

In this age of action, action, action the subtleties of baseball don't appeal to a lot of people. Baseball is meant to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace with plenty of time for viewers to discuss the nuances of what is happening. In most popular team sports, especially basketball and football, people watching the game have no chance to discuss what's going on while it is going on because everything happens so fast. I think the opportunity to reflect on moves and decisions within the context of the game gives baseball a unique appeal. Boring? Perhaps to some, but not to me.

I enjoy the pitching game, the matchups, all the strategy that's involved, playing the odds, seeing those odds fail, etc. A lot of people just don't get it, and that's usually why people don't enjoy watching baseball.

It's a game of finess, and thinking and I don't think that people enjoy the a methodical game where in other sports (which I like watching also) have so many things going on at once, and it's instant gratification.

It's not boring, it's just that many people - like you - are not smart enough to understand the game. Like you, many dumb people can only watch things that require less than a 5-second attention span, and that involve lots of flashing lights or obvious explanations about what's happening.

So, I guess what I'm saying is that it's not baseball - it's just that you're kind of dumb.

The only American sport truly entertaining on TV is football. Baseball is a bore on TV. Going to a baseball game, is ten times more exciting than watching it on the tube. Plus on TV, you have more knucklehead commentors for baseball games than any other sport. Tim McCarver for one, Joe Buck for two, and the list goes on and on.

And baseball isnt boring, if you care to learn the rules and know whats going on.
Blame stupidity, not the great sport that is baseball!

It's a thinking person's game. There are so many sub plots going on depending on the game situation. Every pitch in an adventure. If you understand the game it really isn't boring at all.

Just play ball with some speed.NO backing out of the batters box.The pitcher has ten seconds to throw a pitch. No more b.s. at the plate!

Because you have no idea how the game is played or the nuances involved. So basically I am agreeing with Craig S.....you're dumb
