I hope people can look at the fact that if the Twins had a better offense in May and June he would have won 3 more games

And when they win the World Series...or whatever its called (I dont know much about baseball) ...there was a collection set on TV, I dont quite remember what is was. Does anyone know what website I can get this from. Or any website for that matter. THanks!

Shouldn't a ball automatically be foul if it hit foul territory?

John Muir High School of Pasadena California. I think this will, happen by 2010. Why? because it is cheaper and they will make more money there. They might even move to the Rose Bowl, and no longer be called the L A Dogers or Brocklyn Dogers, instead the Pasadena Dogers. The San Diego Chargers will move to the headqouters of Southern California Edison, where they can really get a charge.

Yahoo sport writer, Jeff Passan, is 100% against it. I think it could be used on a very limited basis; i.e. homerun balls (fair or foul). Bud Selig is also said to be against it. What would it do to the length of the game, with the game as slow as it is...

Passan brings up some interesting points:

...get mad about the yankees, and to a lesser extent the red sox spending money

i absoulutely despise the yankees, but i really get irritated by people getting mad at them for spending the resources that they have; what do you want them to do..keep rolling in the dough and just sit there or actually spend the $ and put a winning team on the field

if you were a fan of the most popular team baseball who has merchandising sales through the roof, from people who dont even care about the sport, wouldnt you expect them to put that money back into the team in some capacity

About the Red Sox spending all that money on a guy who's never thrown a pitch in the major leagues? Aren't they trying to "buy" a World Series?

2006-11-15 20:44:04 · 8 answers · asked by Anonymous

In essence, no, actuality, theyre going to pay 100million dollars for one pitcher who has never pitched in the Major Leagues..i think it says alot that no other team, INCLUDING the deep pocketed yankees made a bid anywhere near the Red Sox bid.. I just dont think Anyone was as positive that this guy is cant miss...cept Boston.

Red Sox fans always talk about how the Yankees try to buy a championship every year. But aren't they doing the same thing?

I like talking the hot stove, free agency stuff, so everyone, just submit what you think is going to go down here. What about the Red Sox tossing up 51.1 mil for Matsusaka just to talk to him? Will a deal get done with Boras heading up the talks with the Sox?
