Actually it was Mickey Mantel. And Mantel broke alot of those records.. mantel had a total of 373 homerun hits left handed and 163 right handed homers. He still owns records for most homers, RBI, runs, walks, and strikeouts in World Series.

You didn't specify if it was for a year or lifetime.
For a year, Lou Gehrig had 184 RBI's which is the MLB record. (He had 1995 lifetime RBI's)
For a lifetime, Babe Ruth had 2213 RBI's. (2nd all time; Hank Aaron #1 @ 2297 RBI's.)
