Hello fellow Mets fan. Zito is the jewel in our championship crown.
Zito
Glavine (Mets will outbid ATL)
Maine
El Duke
Pelfrey (He should be ready for the show)
Marlins are asking a high price for Dontrelle, but what about Mark Mulder? We could get him at a discount and reunite him w/ Rick Peterson.
My favorite site for Mets info is metsblog.com a must read for the Hot Stove and Winter Meetings. Let's Go Mets.

Name the top five pitchers in baseball, and send them to the mighty Mariners! Seriously, with Matsuzaka out of the picture, the Mariners need to take a hard look at Barry Zito and be prepared to shell out the bucks! Dontrelle Willis would be a real coup, too. We're pretty well set with position players, but could use one more good-hitting outfielder to back up Ibanez and Ichiro, and a decent DH (alas, alas, that time finally caught up with Edgar Martinez), or two outfielders if Ibanez becomes the DH. Jim Edmonds was mentioned by some Seattle sportswriters, but he re-signed with St. Louis. Heck, we might even give a repentant Ken Griffey, Jr. another chance. (But not A-Rod! He's not an outfielder anyway.)
(I don't normally blast other answerers, but what planet is "Mariah M." from? It ain't the Earth! And to sully the great game of baseball by mentioning the - ugh! - Oakland Raiders besides!)

communities: a million. Yankees. 2. AL East, underdog Orioles. 3. Joe Mauer, with Jorge Posada ageing he could be an asset to the team. 4. Mets are a sprint closer yet Yanks are nearby as nicely. 5. i might like to work out a Yankees/ purple Sox interest. Offseason: a million. do no longer in all threat save on with it too nicely, yet I come from a kinfolk of ny Giants followers. 2. i'm going to. 3. i think of it particularly is great. I mean i might like to play baseball all 12 months, yet whilst the offseason grew to become into shorter than it would not be good baseball climate. 4. Javy Vazquez, by way of fact i actual prefer to work out what he can do in ny this time around. 5. on a daily basis. BQ:one hundred, by way of fact surveys are one in all my well known issues in this internet site, and yours grew to become into thrilling with some new questions!

I have to go with Dontrelle also. We have the young players that the marlins may want. I would hate to trade Melky for anyone but if we got Willis in return at least we would be upgrading an area we have a need in.

Dontrelle Willis. He is young, durable, a great person, a draw at the gate, and is still only 24 years old! I'd love for my Yankees to get him, even more than Matsuzaka. He is a great teamate, a fun personality, great for baseball, talented, and has his whole career in front of him.

Nationals to sign Ted Lilly, Shawn Chacon or possibly trade for Carl Crawford, god only knows how much we need some proper pitching and a credible outfielder, if only to prevent fan disillusionment after Soriano clears off.
We might get one of the above, but certainly not all. It looks like a wing and a prayer with Kory Casto and Matt Climo and hope one of them turns in a Ryan Zimmerman/John Patterson year.
Then hope that we don't ttrade them away. :-)

I'm a Tigers fan. We already got the DH / right fielder we needed. The only other 2 gaps we need is to re-sign Jamie Walker in the bullpen and if we're not going to re-sign Sean Casey, some kind of left handed bat at 1st. I'd love J.D. Drew but I doubt that will happen. We'll probably re-sign Casey or Stairs.
