I Would. I think Justin deserved it more than Jeter. I mean, All justin has for help is Torri and Joe, with a little help from Santana. Who do the Yankees and Jeter have? Hmmmm Lets think about it.... Gay-Rod, Jonny Deamon, Bobby Oh-Hey-You, Randy, Cheng Ming Wang, and lots lots lots more. Their is just way to many tallent (though i hate to admit it because i hate yankees) in that ball club for Jeter to win MVP.

Its not a sour grapes thing. I beleive that the sports writers are not objective and are downright bias towards New York teams when they vote for MVP or other awards.. If they were objective they would have clearly seen that there was no other player that was more valuable to his team than Derek was to the Yankees. With the injuries that the Yankees had in the early portion of the year, Jeter stepped up and almost carried the Yankees. That's valuable to me. Morneau had another reat hitter beside him in Mauer so the pressure wasn't there.
The Baseball writers suck.

In Canada, we've never been able to understand why the americans love baseball so much. It is SO BORING. It is actually painful to watch. I would like to hear americans opinions of why they love baseball.

Granted he's in his 40's, but he's a proven winner. I don't want him to return to the Braves, even though his family lives there.

I've been a Phillies fan all my life (born in 1980, their one and only World Series win), and with the current crop of free agent pitchers, I can't help but to wonder if they will make an attempt to sign anyone that could legitimately be called a threat.

Every top notch starting pitcher the Phillies land comes either via trade (Steve Carlton, Curt Shilling, Kevin Millwood) or through their minor league system (Cole Hammels, Gavin Floyd, etc...).

In your opinion, who is the best pitcher the Phillies have signed in the past 25 years as a free agent, because to be honest, I can't really think of any that stand out off the top of my head.

What is wrong with them. They let Alfonso Soriano go. He said in the paper he wanted to stay in Washington. They did try to keep him. 40 40 man.

Nobody goes 98 years without winning a World Series, I know it sounds stupid, but if you do some research, it will get you thinking.

Why would the Angels sign a 3 year contract with Speier when they have one of the best bullpens in the American league? Shouldn't that payroll be used for a "big bat"??
