Who gives a damn? Morneau was more deserving of the award. Besides, Jeter will always be MVP in A-Rods bedroom.

Everyone is complaining that Jeter's leadership makes up for the fact that he didn't put up the numbers Morneau did. OK, hes a leader but honestly if the team (even without his 19 million per year contract) would still have a payroll $50 million more than any other team and they still cant win a world series than how good of a leader can he be. Seriously, in 2004 when manny wanted out of boston, Millar calmed him down and got him to stay, HAS JETER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THAT? NO! When A-rod came to town (a better shortstop than Jeter but a worse arm) did jeter give up the position and move to third? NO! The fact is that when people call him a leader it is really just because he has his face plastered everywhere and people are dumb enough to assume that hes the best leader in the majors. Morneau deserved it because he had better numbers and Jeter's "leadership" does not come close to making up for the difference in on-field performance.

Morneau is a good player, a top player this year. I just don't think he was the "most valuable player". Jeter was the team leader and carried his team. Morneau was sharing the limelight with Mauer, Santana and Liriano all season.

I don't think Morneau isn't deserving of the MVP, I just think Jeter was more deserving.

We could also see who the players voted as the league MVP, Mr. Jermaine Dye. And that is from his peers.

PEACE

at the start Jeter is a approaches from overvalued. he's hated on by each and every man or woman who does not have a guy like him on their team's roster. He had his occupation year this year in terms of offense and if there became into ever a time the place it looked like the yankees weren't going to win and did....Jeter became into in contact in some way. SS is the main severe place contained in the area of taking part in the sector. the different stupid element with reference to the mvp race is that the participant who gets it would nicely be constantly reliable in the time of the full year. I had the two gamers on my fantasy roster and had to drop morneau bc the guy became into hitting .181. fortunate for me i've got been given him returned precise as he hit his stride yet how can a guy get the MVP if there became into somebody with greater consistent #s in the time of.....finally, ppl forget approximately that the backside of the american dynasty contained in the final decade became into outfitted from Jeter up!

I was surprised I thought that Jeter was the sure winner. But I hate the Yankees so as long as nobody from the Yankees wins I'm happy.

We don't care if you don't care. You wouldn't have posted this here if you didn't care. You wouldn't be baggin on jeter if you didn't hate the yankees. So keep your opinion to yourself, and ask a question that we can actually asnwer next time.

The choice for AL MVP surprized me as well. I thought Ortiz was the front runner. Being a Met's fan I know all too well that the Yankees think everything is about them all of the time. A surprize isn't always a bad thing.

Jeter doesnt deserve MVP. He didnt take his team to the world series so he wasnt that valuable.

Jeter is the man. He should have won hands down. Monrou isn't even good. I would understand if it was Ortiz b/c he is actually good even though I hate the Red Sox.
