Granted he's in his 40's, but he's a proven winner. I don't want him to return to the Braves, even though his family lives there.

Glavine has already announced that as soon as her reaches 300 wins he will retire. He is currently at 290 wins. Now whether he completes the season or not is still an open question. I'm sure he will re-sign with the Mets because they give him the best chance to win. Now if the Mets are doing well as we all think they will, he will probably finish the season with them via playoffs and possible world series appearance. I'm sure he will win at least 10 games in 2007.

Mets have already declined their option for $14 million. At his age, he is still good but perhaps not worth that much when other options are available to the Mets (i.e Barry Zito). Mets will try to resign him for less money. The Braves will not sign him unless he becomes a bargain and that most likely will not happen. Quite frankly, the Braves are not interested right now.

The city of St. Louis would kiss Glavine's a s s. Glavine would love it there. I think it'd be a great fit. Then him and Pujols can be buddies lol.
The Mets don't want him obviously.

They should go younger.

Sooner or later he's going to break down, and at best, he gives you... what? 2 more years?

He's a mediocre guy who's in decline. And he's due to get hurt. I'd stop tempting fate and having my teams season resting on a 41 year old's arm.

I feel the same way about the Yankees with Randy Johnson and Mike Mussina.

glavine needs to entice close them up...the mets shouldn't sign him. i do no longer think of posada is going everywhere, exceptionally to the mets.i think of we could sign loduca to a minimum of something greater effective comes alongside.if something....the mets could be attempting to decide how the can get their palms on Johan Santana and a few middle alleviation pitching.

They should put there efforts in signing Zito and or Schmidt. Just like the Yankees they have gotten to old at the top of the rotation.

well he did have a great year for us this past year and he can still win some games but at the same time if they can get somebody younger and for more years then they should look at that possibility as well

Yes, I think he has a few decent years left, barring significant injury. I like him as a Met also....
