For example...

Lets say the speedy Jose Reyes is on second base. The next batter is Carlos Delgado with 0 outs. He slams one into the deepest part of Pro Player and the Marlins center field catches it, but falls over. He holds onto the ball. Could Reyes go home on this (he probably could make it) or can he only take third.

Now, obviously in that situation, Reyes would be at third waiting to see if its caught or a deep deep deep hit. He'd have to return to second and only take third. But say he was waiting on second like a good boy.

Could he tag up and take two bases, scoring a run??

EX: the mets eather wear the pinstripes, white, or black jerseys at home.

How do they choose which jersey to wear before the game??

Hey, being from NY and a big Mets fan, I'm really surprised how there hardly is any support for your Marlins. Your team is has a legitimate shot at the wild-card, and the Florida attendance is embarassing. Every time you see highlights of a Marlins game, the stands are always empty.

What's the reason for that?

And for all other baseball fans, you think Florida should still have a team? (Theyh have low payroll it seemsdue to lack of attendance income, I guess... I could be wrong.)

I always thought they stop play when it rains, but it seems they only do that when it really, really pours. I have been watching the Detroit-Texas game and its been raining the whole game, not just drizzle.

Matsui's impressive debut tonight after his wrist injury in early May served as a reminder to Yankee fans just how cluttered their outfield is. Whether a blessing or a curse, New York has already signed Hideki Matsui, Johnny Damon, and Bobby Abreu to extended contracts, leaving star rookie Melky Cabrera and fan favorite Bernie Williams out of the loop.

Joe Torre has already hinted that the left-field position (at least for the remainder of the season) belongs to Cabrera by intending for Matsui to DH, leaving Bernie out in the cold.

If you were in Joe Torre's position, what would you do? Why?

At the end of the season (regular), you thinks that Toronto will have a better record than Boston. As a matter of fact, they are only 1.5 games behind Boston. I am a Yankees fan, so I hope the Sox fall into 3rd place.

in common?

Hint: The answer is not "All those teams have 80+ wins," because this list excludes the Minnesota Twins, who have 84 wins, and the Chicago White Sox, who have 83, but it does include the Oakland A's, who have 82 wins.

Here's the MLB Standings Index for you to study:

http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/standings/index.jsp

The number of teams included in this list may increase in about a week, but not within the next two or three days. (I checked the "potential" teams' schedules already.) Teams already on the list will not be excluded from the list later.

Have fun! =D
