At the end of the season (regular), you thinks that Toronto will have a better record than Boston. As a matter of fact, they are only 1.5 games behind Boston. I am a Yankees fan, so I hope the Sox fall into 3rd place.

I think the Sox will fall into third, especially considering that they are all qutting on the season, and the Yankees will kick their butts this weekend.
Obviously they are frustrated and morale is low, as evidenced by David (DH) Ortiz being exposed as a selfish crybaby, saying that he does more for his team than Jeter does for the Yankees. OK, Dave, you obviously are forgetting that Jeter puts on a glove once in a while, not just during interleague play. Some stat geeks like to point out that Jeter's range is subpar. Well, every time the ball is hit in his direction, the hitter is out. What does Ortiz contribute when he takes an O'fer?
Yes, Ortiz has more HR and RBI, but Jeter is not that kind of player, he gets on base, has 29 steals, is hitting .346, has 91 RBI, and the MVP is unimportant to him. Obviously the MVP means much more to Ortiz, as that's the only thing he has to look forward to now. I can't wait to see how he's greeted in Yankee Stadium this weekend!

Not a chance. I hope the Yankees plane crashes, and they all die. Especially the Boss (Steinbrenner). That would make baseball a better sport overall.
