Atlanta Braves Pitcher wore #17 and the name "Channel" on back of Jersey. What is the pitcher's Name?

This pitcher wore this number and name to promote the TBS Network. The year and name of the pitcher is what I am after.

After signing with Atlanta in 1976, owner Ted Turner suggested that Andy Messersmith wear "Channel" where his name would usually be on his uniform. Why? Braves games aired on Channel 17 and Messersmith would be a free advertisement when he pitched.

Don Sutton - the name "Channel" was removed by MLB immediately.
