They really don't. They're actually pretty good.
I could understand if they really were a bad team,
but they can beat the best of 'em!
I'm a Yankee fan, but that doesn't make me blind.
BTW ~ they're 3 games back now. He he he!

Ok, I get that some (most) people hate the Yankees. But to say George Steinbrenner " buys " championships? Come on!
Are you guys seriously telling me that Jeter isn't a good SS?
That A-Rod isn't one of the top 5 players in mlb?
That Damon isn't awesome OF?
If ANY of the Yankee players were on any OTHER team, they'd stand out and be called superstars the way David Ortiz is. A-Rod won 2 Gold Gloves and none were with the Yankees. He won those fair & square with out the $25 millIon a year.
When will you guys realize that each Yankee is there because he earned it, not because he was bought by anyone! ? ! ?
OK . Hit me! I'm ready!

Assuming Bonds did do steriods which I don't think is a big leap, who is better all-time. I think even with Griffey's injuries he's still better. Here's the stats from their prime 89-99 pre-roids/injury.

AB R H HR RBI AVG
Griffey : 5832 1063 1742 398 1152 .299

Bonds: 5474 1187 1622 380 1134 .296

Bonds of course also had way more SB's, and he's played more years, but I figure these are their most comperable years.

So the catcher has the ball, waiting to get the runner out. if say, the catcher is lying on the ground, why doesn't he just jump over him, out of the reach of the hand that holds the ball? is it legal for him to just step on the catcher? i mean plowing him down just wont work for some people

this came up when watching the tigers game tonight when placido pilanco was sacrificing himself on a routine double play, then the ball was bobbled and it was too late to turn back. i would have just cleared the catcher right onto home.
