He now has more victories than any other Yankee pitcher, and after his shaky first month, this kid has been a phenom. Would you have him pitch first in the postseason? Or second behind Moose?

How could THOSE Tigers come form behind and beat the Mighty Mighty yankees? Are they done? Is the yankee season over???

or they would have lost both games. Torre thought it was more important to save Mariano since Yankees have a bigger lead in their division. We will save him for playoffs.

i had broken my left thumb late last year and it has healed but it is still slightly slanted. I can bend it and do normal things like write and it is very unotisable, as a matter of fact...you would never know anything was wrong with it! but when i pick up a bat and take a couple of swings i can feel the bat on the inside of my thumb with very small pressure as if somone were sqeezing it...so my question is what precautions should i take and are there any type of hand braces i can wear for baseball

READ THIS: I am creating a team for Strat-o-matic baseball (a card and dice baseball game). I need a good (and I mean really good) team name. Here are the rules with the names:

1. It can't be rude, obscene, etc.
2. It MUST MUST MUST consist of a city and a team nickname
3. It must be cool (really sweet name por favor)
4. It can't have anything to do with baseball (as in, no Sluggers, etc.)
5. The city and the nickname can't start with the same letter

The best answer will be chosen (and it will also be the name of my team)

One more rule: It can't be associated with any professional teams

I've asked this question a few times and have gotten a total of ZERO satisfactory responses... PLEASE HELP ME AND COME UP WITH A SWEET NAME!

Rivera could have went he only threw 14 pitches in the first inning, if he was worried about winning tomarrow it wouldnt have mattered if he would have won this game. I think is was a pretty dumb move what do you all think?

Of Course, My favorite Mlb team are the Houston Astros. They are not that behind from the wild card and last year, they made a great comeback from a 15-30 starting record, making it to the world series. Will They Have Another Opportunity This Year?

I can throw pretty hard already, but I want to be able to hit people in the foot quickly and efficiently so they don't see it coming. Any tips on the mechanics of throwing a fastball? Any unconventional throwing styles or tips that work? Lay 'em on me. Most thorough and helpful response wins 10pts and a dodgeball to the face! :-)

Oh, and a tip for accuracy couldn't hurt either. Thanks!

I ask this in "Baseball" because there might be pitchers out there that can beam people really good with a dodgeball like Randy Johnson did in that RightGuard deoderant commercial. The green balls are like the power stripe!

Why are professional baseball players drafted directly into the minor leagues from high school? Why does football have a college requirement? How did these two different systems develop like they did?
