He now has more victories than any other Yankee pitcher, and after his shaky first month, this kid has been a phenom. Would you have him pitch first in the postseason? Or second behind Moose?

Would you start John Maine over Pedro Martinez in Game 1 of the playoffs, even if John Maine was 16-5 & Pedro was 12-7? Moose has earned the right, as has Randy Johnson, to lead the team into the playoffs...it's true, Chien has been unreal...and he is certainly the Yankees most consistent pitcher...but Moose has the experience. Chien really hasn't had much playoff experience, and it would be a lot to ask of a guy to open up Game 1 of the playoffs.

You always try to go with experience, especially if they open on the road, in Game 1. If they open at home, let him pitch in Game 2...if they open on the road, throw him in Game 3.

I would actually put him at #3. He does have the best Yankee victories, but he doesn't have that much playoff experience. Besides, he does well in the games with the least pressure. The first 2 games are always the most pressured games, besides the last ones. So, Chien Ming Wang will be much more comfortable pitching at #3 and he'd have a better chance of winning.

specific. that's not even commencing day for the Yankees yet. Wang has been recuperating each and each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, he's been pitching interior the bigs for a mutually as, and all human beings is 0-0 top now however the purple Sox and A's. something can take place, and that's not a stretch to declare a solid pitcher might win one extra sport.

It depends which round and if they have home field advantage. It's been well documented that he's more effective at home than on the road. And given a must win situation, I would rather have Wang or Moose than anyone else in the Yankees starting rotation.

That depends a lot on how the schedule plays out. You can't always work it so that your best pitcher plays the first playoff game, but I certainly think Wang is the most effective Yankee starter at the moment.

I definately agree with you there but I think Torre will put the veterans 1st. Mussina,Johnson, Wang or Johnson,Mussina,Wang. The 3rd game is an important game in the playoffs. Since Wang has the composure needed, this may be a key spot for him and the Yankees.

i would picth him second, behind moose. also, wang has been unhittable in the stadium, so you want to get him as many home starts as possible. that's what i think. anyway, there si a good argument over who's 1 and who's 2, but both have earned the right to be a game 1 starter. i think this subject was on the michael kay show on espn radio yesterday.

I forget who made the suggestion on the Mike and the Mad Dog show, but he should be #2 in all 7-game series (games 2 and 6) because his statistics are phenomenal at home.
