In order to win they have to score runs and that has been their problem of the last three seasons. They will be watching the playoffs from their television sets at home.

Everyone has a chance in the NL this year except for Washington, Pittsburgh and Chicago. Houstons best hopes ride on the arms of Clemens, Pettitte, Oswalt and Lidge. They were supposed to be unhittable this year. Hasn't been too true I guess. They also depend heavly on the bat of Lance Berkman. Can anyone else get the big RBI?

I am from Houston, a lifelong Astros fans. I don't believe they have the kick this year to make it to the playoffs. They'll be done in the next two weeks.

Does a two-legged horse ever have a chance of winning the triple crown?

Nope.
They waited too long this time to make their move. Besides, it's crap to let Roger Clemens come in late and only be with the team on the days he pitches....that's just a bad precedent in baseball. It's a team game, not about one guy.

part of the beauty of team sports, and baseball in particular is the fact that any team can beat any other team on any given day. anything is possible. that is why, in the playoffs, there are series played. it is the only way to decide which team is truly the better team, and which team wants it the most.

i really want to say yes i want to see the rocket keep playing forever, but they just dont hit for him or for anyone on that note.
they just dont have the bats to do it which is weird that has a lineup with lance berkman, tavares, ensberg, biggio, bagwell if he can ever get healthy, and huff.

yup, they get to face some bad teams and I have a feeling that Oswalt is going to get a boost from his new extension.
