What would you rather see-a player go out with a good season(Sandy Koufax) or a player limping off with a horrible one(Willie Mays,I think)

I wanted to know what stats people are using to evaluate their baseball teams. I know that ERA, OPS, and slugging percentage as well as Batting Average are used, but what others are good indicators of how well a team is doing?

You don't even have the best baseball of the planet. In the classics you didn't get even to the semifinals. You lost to Mexico, where baseball is not popular. So why the "World Championship"?

I have always thrown pretty hard (about 80mph) but the more I learn about mechanics the more I realize that I just have a very fast arm motion and my mechanics are terrible. I think I might have the potential to add more speed merely by exploding with my legs more. The problem is, when I do drills to work on mechanics, and then try to throw hard, i end up using all arm again (and pay for it with a lot of soreness the next day).

What can I do to figure out how to use the power in my legs to pitch?

This is not because of his skills its because he is trying to make the plays A-Rod can't make.

Do you think he eats those ballpark hot dogs in some training workouts? You know, with relish all over it. And some Grey Poupon? Do you think when he is up at bat he is envisioning a hot dog with grey poupon? Do you think his dad got him hooked on Grey poupon if he even happens to eat it? Do you think he tips the hot dog vendor good? I wonder if he is all like, "Hello Mr. hot dog vendor. How's the family? Oh, and lemme get one of dem hot dogs with all of dat Grey poupon? Bye Mr. hot dog vendor. I'll hit a homerun for you."

Yanks lead the all time series 1075-879 as of today.
Yanks are 26 time World Series Champions, including 4 in the last 10 years. They have been AL Pennant winners 39 times. They have been AL East Champions 15 times including the last eight. They have been in the playoffs every year since 1994. They have 34 Hall of Famers. Yes, I know they have a ridiculously high payroll. But they spend the money other teams wish they had.

Now the Red Sox. They are 6 time World Series Champions, including 1 in 86 years. Eleven time AL Pennant winners. Five time AL East winners. Have been in the playoffs 5 times in the last ten years. They have 29 Hall of Famers. I know they came back to take the series against the Yanks in '04. I also know that is one of the few years they had a winning record head to head against the Yanks.
So where is the argument? The Yanks spend money. Yes they do. Deal with it. They are all time the better team head to head. What can you guys say now?

I'll take Seattle for example, they lose 11 straight then beat the Yankees 2 out of 3. But again every team seems to play their best against the Yankees. And also draw the most fans everywhere they go
