The Mets needed that sweep psychologically. The Cards have been beating up the Mets for that last 4 years. They are not the same team with out Edmonds and they miss Larry Walker. Moulder has a long way to go to get back to where he was, he was so rusty on the mound.
The best part about this sweep for me is reading all the negative comments from the most polite fans in major league baseball....it's pretty funny to hear them rag on their players and be frustrated. How they used to pride themselves on never booing the home team.....

It was great. AS a Met fan I am waiting for the post season there is little else to look foward to. Lets see I am at the game 2 grand slams, a come from behind victory with a walk off home run. Even though we are sitting and waiting the still pull things out of the ***. If they win tonight they break the record for most consecutive wins at home. Next after that would be hitting twelve connseuctive wins, the team record. I guess we still have a few things we look foward to.

Nice for the Mets but the entire NL isn't very good. The Reds are loving it right now but who knows from day to day what's going on. One thing is pretty clear, the Yankees will play someone from the NL is the World Series!!

Yankees fan here but I'm happy to support the Mets(as long as they're not playing the Yanks) The more they win, the longer Willie gets to keep his job which is a good thing!

Big whoop, they play in the national leauge. I think one of these little leauge teams has a good shot at winning a division, just put them in the West, they'll be in it with 58 wins, just like everyone else.

It was friggin awesome, man they are so good this year 30 games over .500%. They are going all the way and after St. Louis' performance, I doubt there making it to the playoffs this year
