This was their inagural (that means 1st) season. I know 8 of them, but I can't remember the left fielder. If you really don't know then don't bother, but this could be fun for those with a sick memory like me!

Baseball seems to violate the plural rule quite a bit, but maybe I'm misundertanding it's proper uses. For instance RBI stands for Runs Batted IN, yet when it's referred to by sportscasters they say RBI's (Runs Batted Ins). Who is correct here?

To all of you true baseball fans, I urge you to vote for Travis Hafner in the last chance voting for the MLB All-Star game. Even if you are not an Indians fan, if you are a baseball fan, you can see by the stats that he is above and beyond all the other contenders. If Hafner gets in he will also be participating in the Home Run derby. Let me tell you - he will hit some monster HR's if he gets in the derby - might even hit the river in Pittsburgh.

VOTE HAFNER !!!!

Especially now that the All-Star Game means something for World Series time. Joe Mauer of the Twins is batting .392 and already has 105 hits, Ivan Rodriguez is only batting .298 with only 2 more homers. Mauer obviously deserves the start. This happens every year. By the way I am not a Twins fan.

In my opinion, the best players don't always make the all star team because fans don't necessarily vote for the best players and some "stuff" the ballot boxes. Why don't they return to the system where the players and managers pick the all stars so that we get a fair representation? Afterall, they are the people who are the best judges of the talent avaliable.
