No an offer to bunt is the same thing as swinging at a strike and if it hit him while swinging he would not be awarded first base nor if he offered to bunt and it hit him would he get first base.

Ball is dead on the hit by pitch. Strike is called due to the offer to bunt (that is a swing). Batter would be out if it was the third strike (yes some will attempt a bunt with a 2 strike count).

No. In baseball if you swing at a ball (or try to bunt it and dont pull back the bunt) and it hits you it is considered a strike.

No. If he attempts to bunt then that is considered a swing. If you swing and miss then its a strike whether it hits you or not.

Yes, because as you know being hit by a pitch means automatic 1st base by teh batter.

When you offer at a pitch it is called a strike even though it hits you after you miss it. Also, the umpires make the call if he really offered at it or not.

If the bat crosses the plate or he offers at it, it's a strike depending on how the umpires see the play of course.
