I think they can stay with the Cards 'til the end of the season. The key will be pitching.... The Cards starting pitching has been horrendous lately (especially Marquis and Ponson). The injury to Mulder will not help, and Izzy out of the bullpen has been very inconsistent as well as their middle relief also. The Reds need someone besides Arroyo and Harang to step up and pitch on a consistent basis, if that happens they will be there for the duration. Milwaukee and Houston are still in it also.

They won't compete it will be the Astors and the cardinals in the divisional race

The reds year so far has been a fluke
They do not have the starting picthing to hang with the big boys in this division

Heres my final divisional standings
1. Astros
2.Cardinals (Wild Card)
3.brewers
4. reds
5.cubs
6. Pirates

The Reds can compete until the end of the season but they need to clean house. Get rid of most of the bullpen, at least 2 starting pitchers, at least 1 catcher and I will not mention Jason LaRue, and get the log jam in the infield situated better. If they don't do that, then they will eventually fade. It fact, it may have started. The bullpen let back-to-back games slip away AGAIN!

The Reds won't necessarily fade, the Cardinals will recoup shortly and blow the rest of the division away.

I believe the Reds have enough to compete with them until the end...I think it'll come down to the wire.

I think the division will take to the end of the season to decide who will win it.
