this is due to the rules of the all-star game. you have to take a player from each team, not matter how bad. you cant just take 4 redsox: big pappi, manny, papelbon and schilling. i cant say im outraged. i think that the both leagues, especially the national league, did a very good job. i mean, c'mon, whos gonna argue that a guy like freddie sanchez doesnt belong. while the american leagues top end is better, they do have a couple teams without a true all-star. really though only the royals in all of baseball dont have one. marlins-willis and cabrera. pirates-bay,sanchez, and jack wilson, rockies-tod helton, devil rays- crawford, a's-rich harden. while these guys werent all chosen, it go's to show you that only the royals dont have an all-star. there is one guy i think deserves and still probably will go. ill give you a hint: he leads the national league in batting, and has 10 dingers.

the Royals need to have at least 1 representative. Curt got snubbed but so did a lot of players. Liriano is a better pitcher this year than schilling.

The white sox manager sucked about putting good players on the all star team. He left Verlander, Lirano and hafner off and is on the final vote and curt schilling, cant even get on the final vote or on the roster. This is messed up man

There really shouldn't be any outrage. Fans want to be able to vote for who should be in the All-Star game. But then there are complaints when certain players don't make it. By now you should know that the game is a farce. It's nothing more than a popularity contest. There are 2 choices, as I see it.
One, the All-Star game is pure entertainment. If you choose this route then let fans vote.
Two, the All-Star game is a competition to see which league is the best. If you choose this route then players need to be voted in by their peers.
The commissioner needs to stop straddling the fence. He wanted to keep the entertaining aspect but tried to enhance the competition with the whole 'winner gets home field advantage in the World Series' joke.
If fans want a change then speak up. Make your voice heard.

Some of the choices suck. I mean someone like Redman proably shouldn't have been on the ballot. Sure if he could get in by write in more power to him but come on. Over all though I am all for fan voting and keep the way it is done as it stands. Just have to find a better way to pick who does on the ballot appearently.

My pal you could be extra mad that they don't persist with the religion. as a results of the indisputable fact that reflects you probably did a detrimental job of being the guy of the abode. This international and the rulers of this international advise not some thing because it really is God who places human beings in ability we are to obey them in all issues until eventually they make regulations adverse to our following the note of God. Romans 13:a million-7 and Acts 5:29. someone who can not rule his own residence isn't an somewhat solid chief yet once the toddlers are the right age to chosen what they quite have self belief if as long as they were with you and stated the Lord at the same time as less than your roof you probably did you job. they'd ought to respond to to God for his or her habit. yet even if they are not honoring mum and dad through not being a believer it makes you seem undesirable as a godly figure. i do not advise to be serious to you this replaced into not meant as a placed down. thanks for the question pal. God bless.

The system is terrible...I think fans should only have a minor part in the voting and that the NL and AL coaches should not be the ones picking reserves. Most fans don't have a clue!

i think the manager is required to pick a player from each team which explains the redman pick.
liriano for the twins, hafner for the indians, garciaparra for the dodgers, and wagner for the mets should have been voted in or picked.
the fans again messed it up. they voted in ortiz, rodriguez, and soriano. they should be at home.
mauer, holiday, and crede should have been starters.

I think the most ludicrous thing is that Joe Mauer isn't the starting catcher for the American League. I mean, he's only hitting .392 this season...
