yeah duh. theyre currently the team with the most wins and fewest losses. but the white sox have the second most wins and second fewest losses, so detroit might get into the playoffs but they still have to beat the sox to win.

No. The tigers will not make the playoffs this year. They have feasted on a wek division. They beat up on the twins when the twins were playing bad and crushed k.c and cleveland. Their record against the top teams in th al ( chc, nyy, bos, tor and oak ) is 7-12. As they will now play a majority of their games out of the division, I think that they will play below .500 for the rest of the way and end up with around 90 wins. The wildcard will again come from the east.

I dunno. I think they will, but its hard for me to be sold on the Tigers just because of their history. But yes, the Tigers should make it if they just play consistent. If you would have asked about the Lions, I would have laughed at you. The only way the Tigers wont make the playoffs is if they all catch the ecoli virus from eating at that Johnny Rockets across the street from the ballpark on Woodward....I ate there once when I was in Detroit going to a concert at that place....the name is blanking on me, but it was gross...

I think they make the wild card.

I know The White Sox are just too good a team NOT to win The Central again.

However, if our pitching holds steady (look at Zach Miner who is filling in for Mike Maroth while he's on the DL...Miner has won 5 straight games) and our bats stay explosive.....it will be a interesting 2nd half.

The games i worry about are the 13 we have left with Chicago.

Those 13 games will determine who wins the Central title.

They will be the Wild Card team after losing the AL Central to the White Sox by 2 games.

As long as they keep playing like they are they will. However note, almost everyone on that team is having the best year of their careers, and eventually in every baseball season you will hit a slump. When that happens and how the team reacts to it will be a key.

They'll make the playoffs but don't get too excited becuz they can't reach the world series without running through the whitesox.

Yes, I think so, maybe they won't win the division, but should definately make a wild card because of their solid pitching!

I think they are playing way over their head and will fall down to earth in the second half.
