Why are you guys booing Alex Rodriguez so much? Please do NOT boo him!!! The more you all boo him, the more harder it will be for him to get a hit. Don't you want him to get a hit everytime he gets up to bat? If you want him to get a hit, then cheer him on by saying, "C'mon, A-Rod, you can do it!!" That will help him A LOT!!!!!

He understands about "pulling" the ball and has hit to the opposite field on an outside pitch. He did the same thing last year about this time in the season. After hitting well up the middle and to the opposite field, he hits this slump where all he does is hit to the shortstop. I know it's frustrating to him, and any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance, for both of us! :)

.300 is the benchmark for a good hitter.
3.00 ERA is a good pitcher/starter.
Is there a benchmark for the closer?

The Mets did this to the Cubs on Sunday, and my son and I were wondering about this event's rarity. There's nothing on the Wikipedia list of rare baseball events, apart from Tatis -- but his is an individual event, not a team event.

Personally, I think the Jays have an outside shot - they are playing really hot right now. Halladay is one of the most underrated pitchers in the entire league, Burnett is back in form, and the offense is clicking. If they win their upcoming series vs. the Yankees, they'll be right in the race.

Why is he having such a hard time this year?
I know he's got what it takes to help take the team to the WS, but he hasn't been able to show it this year.
Seriously, What could be the problem?

you do NOT want the braves visiting your town right now if you're a NL team. san diego is still recovering and BAM!! the buzzsaw rolls into st. louis to lay waste to the cardinals. anyone who counted the braves out......take note of the carnage they are dishing out. there's gonna be a whole lot more of that to come in the 2nd half on the way to #15 in a row!!

When you are watching a game on tv, you can clearly tell if a pitch was a ball or strike, but what about the umpires?? How do they know what type of pitch it is if they can't see where the ball is catched
