I think they may have an outside chance if they keep a good home record and win the big games with the Yankees an Sox, they can at least give them a run for their money.

As a diehard Red Sox fan, I can say the the Blue Jays have a good chance. They have been on the radar since they made so many off season moves. Let me just say the Roy Halladay is not an underrated pitcher. He is the best pitcher in the AL east if not all of baseball. I would love for the Blue Jays to sweep the Yankees.
My two favorite teams are always the Red Sox and whomever is playing the Yankees.....Go Jays!

Yeah, im a Blue Jay fan in California and I think they will make a strong push towards the division only 3.5 back of division and 6 games back of Wild Card. They are going to at least take 2 of 3 from the Yankees then they play the Red Sox soon and we own the Red Sox so far

Yes i believe they have a chance, in fact, i still pick them to win the AL east. the yankees pitching staff is just average, and if A-Rod has a broken toe and misses any time, they will be hurt. The Red sox middle relief isn't as good as it used to be. Also, if i had to pick any closer in the league right now to close a game for me, i would pick BJ Ryan.

No! They need more pitching. Their ace Roy Halladay is awesome! A.J. Burnett is hasn't been great. Ted Lilly is a .500 pitcher. Their hitting is awesome but I think they need a couple more starters and that should get them over the top. You guys have all the hitting. Alex Rios is going to be great! Reed Johnson batting over 300, Glaus has tremendous power, Vernon Well top 15 MLB player. Maybe next year.

Personally I dont think the Blue Jays have a shot. Even if they are "Hot" they have to compete with the Yankees and the Red Sox who are both "Hot"

I'll agree with you... and I live in Hershey PA, originally from Oyster Bay Long Island... yes... the Blue Jays have an outside shot... they have a great team this year and have surprised a lot of people, and I'll admit it... I'm one of them... but yes, I think they have a shot at winning the AL East... I wouldn't be surprised ( this time, lol ) if they win the East.

Even though I am a Yankee fan I must say that they have just as good of a chance as Boston or NY. Niether Boston nor Ny are as strong as they are or have been playing and I see it going down to the last week with all three teams in it.

I have a friend who moved here from Canada that thinks so...
I'll spot you this, though: The Blue Jays are the most under-rated baseball team this season.

honestly I really think that they have a chance. They could sneak past both the yankees and the red sox.
