What year and what team specifically is generally regarded as having the best pitching staff of all time for a single year?

I think he's overrated. I hate him....yet each year he manages to do just enough to not be noticed as a line-up flaw. I mean for God's sake the Jays traded for him---not that wasn't a good trade since they only gave up aging , and expensive corey koskie, pathetic dave bush, and 27 year old fringe prospect gabe gross. I think lyle overbay is a rich man's doug mienctkewitz---in that he has more power, and hits for a higher average. I think lyle will go into a tailspin starting in auguts that he never recovers from, and next year I predict he hits .250 with 10 homers, and 60 RBI's.

Whenever I watch Baseball league matches on TV, I always confuse to see almost all players including the coach, manager, and umpires keeping themselves in chewing something. Is this a rule?

The Tigers have a strong lineup and ptiching staff, and only have to play .500 ball to get 98 wins, will they keep it up (I think they will)

The Tigers need a left handed bat. Dmitri can provide us with that, plus power.

Do you think The Tigers made any major trades?

Dombrowski isn't going to give up any of our main prospects in Toledo.

I think The Tigers are pretty well set for the Post Season.

Your thoughts?

Kazmir's got shoulder stiffness which won't require him to be put on the DL, but will cause him to miss his next start.....against the Yankees.

I wonder how much cash that little favor cost Steinbrenner.

Miguel Tejada is reportedly on the trade block, and the Astros are very much interested. Some players the Astros have considered giving up in exchange for Tejada include: Adam Everett, Brad Lidge, Fernando Nieve, Jason Hirsh and Hunter Pence. What's the best combination that will get them Tejada without forfeiting their entire future?

I'm majoring in Sport Management---is that a good thing?.......I know a ton about baseball--business side and personel side (i.e player names, stats, tendencies, abilities--- even the most obscure players imaginable, free agency, money issues) Anyone have any other ideas on how I can fulfill my dream?

also I plan on going to law school after undergrad...will this help?

Who here knows why some teams don't have their last names on the back of their jerseys? It's kind of strange, don't you think? I've asked my parents a bunch of times and they don't know why.
