It's not a lock that they can win their division (I think the Angels will win it again), but if they do they have a VERY tough road in the playoffs against Boston, New York, Detroit or Chicago. Any of those teams could beat Oakland in a short series. The A's don't have the pitching they once did, and that's what wins playoff series.

Na I doubt it... the A's are a streaky team but they just lack the talent to take the world series. The best chance Oakland had was when they had the Yankees down in 2001 2-0 with only 1 game to advance and they let it slip by allowing the yankees to beat them 3 in a row.

No chance. They're going to be the AL East but I think they will never get past the Tigers. And even if they do, in the WS the Mets will slam em.

they might make the playoffs because their division is garbage, but the the last two nights have proven they are nowhere close to an elite team and they will struggle to win in the playoffs.
