Just finished watching the new documentary on Dale and it kinda sounds like his widow is partially deaf. My husband says no, but I tend to disagree? Is it just her accent? If you find information on this question, please post it because my hubby will never believe me if she is.

Who would call to pull in a 13th place after all the races are done? Who would be the top finisher outside of the Chase?
Tough one huh? I would think it to be anyone really, but I am really rooting for Dale Jr.

i'm going with Tony Stewart for my pick to win, but it's probably going to be either Jeff Gordon, or jimmie johnson. as they are both in the top two seeds to the chase.

Why in the world did Hendricks take on a loser like Junior? at the rate he is winning, he will be 114 yrs of age before he can match Jeff Gordon, in wins.. that is if Jeff wins no more races..don't make much sense to put a loser in a stable of proven winners...

I absolutely LOVE NASCAR but the tickets are so expensive, I have never been able to go to a race. Well, this October I will be making my first trip to a NASCAR race at Talladega. Since I have never been, I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me. I'm to sure what to expect, so any advice will be wonderful (from the trip there to pit road)!! We also have pit passes, so any information on that will also be appreciated.

Thanks yall!!

We saw it start with Red Bull racing. Then Roush joned up with Fenway, Evernham with Gillette, and DEI with Ginn Enterprises. This was a sport that was spawned from the working class, and grew with the hard work of families like the Pettys and the Woods. Everyone looked out for each other and took care of each other.

Now we are seeing drivers like Marlin out of the job. Even though he was not leading laps each weekend, and hasn't won a race in years, he still had a following and a fan base. This is a trend that we will continue to see as more and more coorporate owners come in. Other sports have unions that protect the players from greedy owners, but NASCAR drivers can't join a union.

Does anyone see something good that can come from the "fat cats" comming on board?

Last week, I called out that Bowyer was the sleeper, and I am not saying I told you so, but to all those who criticized me, on the basis that Bowyer was not a threat because he had no regular season wins, I hope you now understand why I picked him to be the major upset this year. To understand why, you must first understand Clint Bowyer, and his ability to focus under pressure in his racing days pre-NASCAR.

Tony has put contract talks with Gibbs on hold until after the season. Gibbs said months ago that getting Tony's contract renewed was top priority and has recently repeated that during the Toyota announcement adding that he wanted a fast resolution. I don't know which way it will go but I think Tony isn't happy with the Toyota move.

Seems to me, over the past several years NASCAR has made changes that now I am loosing interest in it. Don't get me wrong, I been a die hard fan for over 25 years. I know faces has changed and the sport has became so huge. Where once upon a time, I wouldn't miss a race for anything, now it don't bother me if I go a week without watching.

I have nothing against Bowyer or RCR,but it's always odd when a team that hasn't done much all year shows up and just crushes the field like that. Don't give me that line about it being impossible. The FIA couldn't police traction control, so why would Nascar be able to?
