The paint scheme actually belongs to Bud. Red is the official color of Bud so the car will stay Red.

Bud had been successful with the #8 and didn't want to change much about their car. The #9 looks a lot like the #8. The number and the Dodge make are the only differences.

Looks like a classic Bud paint scheme to me......
only with the #9!!!! it looked good.....not much different from bud schemes used in the past but do you know why they do this??? its a marketing ploy....they need to go with a familar scheme that is recognized at first till it is well known that the #9 is now the bud and not the #8 cuz lets face it there are those that dont catch onto nascar quickly and there are always newbees coming into the sport!!! its always best to start with a recognized design that everyone is familar & comfortable with its familararity and it works!!! that is what i learned in advertising!!!! and i apply that today to my buisness advertising & its true i run an ad for 1 month in a local advertisement & i swear if i change it the next month people are asking where the ad went...i tell them its still there but they dont see it cuz its changed....people see something & that is what they look for ya know what i mean???
i think kasey will do well he is a good kid & good driver and dodge & bud will be a good combination for him...better than a picture of a yack on the hood!!! ha ha ha that commercial is crazy!!!

****kahne girl you will still be sportin that dodge jacket come feb. in fontana!!!*****
GO HARVICK & RCR!!!

I think it would be a great move for both Kasey and the whole GEM (thats gonna take getting use to ^_^) organization. Bud is one of the best, if not the best sponser to have and I think only good can come from it. I can't wait to see what the car looks like and the new commercials! Wow you're going to the 500! That's great! I hope you have a great time! I might even be going..I live in Daytona so it is literally a hop and a skip! lol Its always fun..and its the 50th! ^_^ Be safe! Have you ever been to the fanzone before?

Honestly, I don't think it looks that much like Jr.'s car.

BUT! What excites me most is that in 2005, at the Brickyard, I met Kasey and all I had for him to sign was my pink Bud hat. It doesn't have a #8 on it. It's just a plain pink hat w/ the B on the front. He was so humble about it too! He signed several other drivers' stuff.

This just makes my day. I couldn't think of another driver that this best suits. He is going to do Bud proud!

I don't get it. How can Kasey Kahne's #9 Bud car (for next season) look anything like the #8 Bud car of this season. For one thing Kasey's car is a Dodge and We all know Junior drives a Chevy. Secondly, On the hood of Kasey's car Bud the signiture bow tie logo is on the hood while Jr's does not have it on the hood.

How much could they really change the look of the car? They are both red and Bud is using the same logo they have for years. What could they have done?

agreed-although i am not a jr fan or a kahne fan that car does look SUSPICIOUSLY like the number8! whatever works for bud, i guess. i really don't believe that kahne has the image of a beer-swilling racecar driver. perhaps bud is trying to appeal to a more clean-cut younger yuppie-like beer crowd. good luck with that!

Thanks for posting the link with your question cause I hadn't seen the paint scheme. It looks like all they did was take off the #8 and put a 9. I think they could of done more to make it look different.

GO TONY!!!!

It looks like Dale Jr's car but with a different number. It will take me a while to adapt to seeing Kasey as a Bud man. He looks more like the root beer kid.
