The press conference is tomorrow. Neither Hendrick nor Jr. have made any mention of sponsers or car number and their whole organization has been real good at keeping this quite. So unless your rumor source works for Hendrick, NASCAR, JR motorsports, Yates, or the unknown sponsor, I wouldn't hold my breath on it being true.
Last month the rumor was Yates had offered to not ask for use of the 38 as to let Hendrick get it for Jr. However that was confirmed untrue by Hendrick, Yates, and NASCAR.

Wed @ 1:30 et on speed ch. & espn....
and if jr. is in the #88 than that means hendricks paid yates to not renew the use of the #88 and request that nascar let hendricks use it....that is straight from ken schrader's remark yesterday on inside nextel cup. he said owners dont buy #"s from other owners they request the use of....so if hendrick paid yates enough $$$$ then yates can buy the use of the #28 car and that would be cool...#38 & #28.....
GO HARVICK & RCR!!!!

Not official..yet but it is true. Sponsorship will be Mountain Dew and the Amp energy drink. Yates sold the 88 rights to Hendrick. Kasey Kahne will be getting the Bud sponsorship.

i'm excited for Junior, through fact he's made a variety to "do what he's gotta do" issues are too stuffy at DEI for him, and he needed a clean smash. He runs difficult and DEI can not build a good sufficient "trip" for him. The technicians at HMS might desire to be some intense classification mechanics, and that i'ld choose to renowned what they understand. 2008 is going to "unharness the beast" in Dale Junior. He is probably no longer the final, yet he could've been interior the chase. That dude can force and he has each and all of the connections. Thank Mark Martin, he desrves a intense 5 for each thing he contributes to the sport, and DEI.

He wont be driving the RYR car that is currently #88. He will be driving the HMS Chevrolet that is numbered 5 this year but it will be numbered 88 next year.
