Looks like another boring day in Religion and Spirtuality. How can the normal questions and answers in Religion and Spirituality be considered interesting when you play the roaming game "over and over"? It's like you're stuck in jr high school, playing truth or dare at a slumber party or something.

First of all it's turning left. If it's not a sport, then what is it? It's racing which is a sporting event. The drivers are athletes of a different kind. They deal with temps of 130° inside the car during a race in hot weather. They have a grip on 800 horse power for 3 hours at a time.
My question to you is, what's the point of your questions. It's been on here 100 times at least.

NASCAR IS A SPORT...have to admit a game of 7'black dudes bouncing a little ball - running back and forth
down the court..cornrows, gold chains, dark blue tattoos on a black arm.,damn, that is exciting (not) NASCAR-speeds at times over 200mph-inches apart (drug free) .. but have to admit the 7' dudes bouncing the little ball back and forth is better than the dudes getting a toe hurt "rounding third on the way to home" boy what excitement..just a thought

The skill of the drivers, I think. No different than any other sport that requires skill and quick thinking. The "person" that referred to "rednecks" isn't very informed on the drivers and persons interested in NASCAR. There are plenty of professional people who also enjoy the "sport" of racing and many of the drivers are well educated.

Maybe they turn right in Australia or the planet you're from, but in NASCAR you mostly turn left, when not on a road course.

Exactly why are you in the Nascar forum if you don't even know which way they turn?
Must have been on some kind of dare from another forum.
edit:
Yep I found the dare, figured too stupid a question to be real.

NASCAR is not considered a sport. NASCAR is a sanctioning body. Auto racing is a sport.
Trolling, however, is not a sport. It is a method of demonstrating to many utter strangers that you are extremely immature. Now that we know that, what do we do?

Go to your own profile and read the quote that you left on it by Socrates. It fits you perfectly. It's just a shame that you apparently either haven't read it yourself, don't understand it, don't feel it applies to you, or just don't care. Who's right? Who's wrong? Your question seems to point out that you feel you are right and we are wrong. How did you come to this conclusion? Or are you just jumping to conclusions and trying to make people angry? Are you just looking for an argument that you feel you can come out on top of? Or are you just bored and have nothing better to do? Socrates would be so proud of you.
So let me ask you this: If you were to put NASCAR into a category, which would it be? Is it a game? Is it a religion? For some it nearly is. Sociology? Since you apparently feel that you are right and we are wrong, what's the answer? Maybe you can find another quote by somebody famous that will have the answer. Or maybe you can find the time to think for yourself and come up with a logical answer of your own.

Ah yes, another idiot.
Try driving 200 mph, in 130 degree heat, in a fire suit, no a/c to speak of, with 43 other drivers who want to be in the space you are currently occupying.
Have you ever watched a race or are you just that ignorant? Never mind, just answered that myself......
Wanna see a non-sport, watch golf knothead.....

First of all, ignorance is bliss so you must be the most BLISSFUL person in the universe. Secondly in NASCAR the turns are to the LEFT except in road courses, where there are a series of right and left turns. If you do not think it is a sport then you attempt to drive a car with the inside temperature reaching 115 degrees for approximately 4 hours without stopping to whine about the heat or rest. Lastly, most drivers have a strict exercise regime, most have college educations and their season is longer than any other sport.
