In the points standings right now he is.. I don't know how long he will ride high on this momentum swing though.. If he can keep it going for another 9 races, he may actually be a legitimate shot @ the title... But I think Harvick will out "CHASE" him.
My Predictions - Bowyer finishes 8th in CHASE

From where I'm sitting, the top dog at RCR is still Kevin Harvick, though I'm glad to see Bowyer get his first win on Sunday. I think you have to look at it from an overall perspective....what has he done in the past? Clint's still in his second year running Nextel Cup whereas Harvick's got seven years under his belt and Jeff Burton's got close to fifteen. Then there's the star power factor; there's no question that all three drivers are extremely talented...but who commands the most attention from sponsors, media, fans, other drivers, etc. Granted, all three drivers have big name sponsors, but I think Clint's still got some catching up to do if he wants to be in that company.
Right now, he may be the man in the Chase, but Clint Bowyer's still not the man at RCR.

Well I've seen that one coming for awhile and am frankly surprised that Martin Truex Jr won a race at the cup level before Clint did. He will carry a little momentum but don't read too much into this race. RCR is not near as strong across the board as HMS and JGR. Look how Harvick and Burton struggled and how up and down all of their cars have been this year. They mentioned that Clint had some sort of experimental setup that was different from Kevin and Jeff's cars. I am happy for him but with 9 more races to go I think Clint has the combined lowest average finish of the tracks left on the schedule. Yes, he was pretty calm during the bulk of the race but he was freaking out for the last 20-30 laps. He was saying his car was WAY tight and then he thought he felt a vibration (on the radio communications they aired during at the end). Gill and his spotter had to keep reassuring him and calming him down. Finally on the last lap they told him to just ride there and not pass anybody. Good job by him though, he kept it together. And to answer the top driver question I would say Jeff Burton is RCR's most consistent driver. In my book that would make the 31 car their top one, IMHO.

No, he is still number three at RCR, he just won the first race in the chase, it was great he got his first win, he is still behind, Harvick and Burton... Now if some how he wins the championship, then we can talk about him being #1 at RCR.. He definitely has momentum on his side now...But theres 9 more races....

Only in the standings. Jeff Burton and Kevin Harvick will finish a head of him by the time the chase is over. Bowyer is a good driver and I knew the win would come soon.

No it still makes him 3rd driver but it makes RCR a great team just like Hendrick. Besides , Bowyer's been good all season he just hadnt won yet. No reason why that should stop.

I think Bowyer could win the chase if he keeps running good. But I want Tony Stewart to win the chase. I think he is one of the top drivers at RCR, but Kevin Harvick is the best driver at RCR.

You haven't seen the best of Burton. This was the first race of the chase, and RCR is off to a great start.
Congratulations to RCR

NO!!!
He is just the driver of the week....
RCR drivers are as follow: HARVICK, BURTON & BOWYER
i was happy to see he took the pole and posted a couple questions about him, i personally did not pick him to win or saw it coming, but im happy for him and rcr that was a big win...his first NNC thats great!!!! he will be more confident going into the chase and the next race but he still has along way to go in pts. and doesnt have the expierence like harvick or burton to come from behind with determination and knowledge of when to turn it on soooo i think he will do well better than people thought but i dont think he will win the chase!!!
GO HARVICK & RCR!!!!
