RUMOR HAS IT.... RCR is considering a 4th car!!!
Have any of you heard anymore about rcr and the possibility of the 4th car??
i already know that......he has extended the deadline thru the end of sept. to make the decision on a full-time 4th car.
he is still looking at sponsors, and no drivers have signed as of yet, possibilities have been J.J. Yeley , Dario Franchitti, & Scott Whimmer.... David Reutiman was only a rumor....
i have also heard that they are considering a limited schedule in 08 with Scott Whimmer running 14 cup races and a full 2008 busch series season!!!
Soooooo have any of you heard anything??? if so what????
and what are your thoughts on RCR and a 4th ride???

It will be Wimmer or Reutimann I think... Wimmer has done an AWESOME job in the Busch series and really deserves another shot @ the Cup Series. I'd love to see him move up to the Cup, but I think they are trying to decide whether to do that, or let him contend for a Busch Series title next season. Reutimann is holding out, waiting to see what Michael Waltrip Racing is going to offer him for next season and beyond.. compared to what maybe Richard Childress is offering him. They look @ David and see a few KEY important things... He keeps the car in 1 piece, knows how to run his equipment well, and has no real beefs w/ any other drives (plays well w/ others).
Really, Either driver would be a great choice for a 4th car, full or part time... I truthfully hope for Scott to get the ride, because I've always liked him and his driving style. He's an awesome driver, and has a great personality... Very similar to David..
I hope RCR chooses soon.. I'm tired of speculation! I'm ready to know who will team up w/ the current RCR-trio.

Just rumors right now, I did hear they wanted to add a extra car..I even heard a rumor of Newman..Its that time of the year where the rumor mill is overflowing..I did hear something about David R... JJ Yeley is already hall of fame racing taking Raines place but its a toyota which is part of JGR now somehow... Its going to be a musical car thing going on just like muscial chairs I have a feeling, going to be a great 2008, lots of new faces in new cars, teams this suspense is almost as..good as the chase "almost"...The off season we will have something to watch for sure...

I wouldn't be surprised if David Reutiman and BK/Dominos both don't go to RCR. I'm sure Michael and Toyota made lots of promises to the sponsors that they couldn't live up to.

I heard they wanted to but didn't have a sponsor or a driver lined up yet. I'm curious what number car they will run if they decide to run a 4th team.

It would be great to get Scott W in a car, he deserves it. No to JJ, 96 for him, Dario is headed to Chip Ganassi and JPM.

I could see it happening. They have their act pretty well together and I can think of several drivers who would make a nice addition.
