...The Chase for the Cup? Do you think they did right by making it 12 drivers instead of 10?

(I don't! 10 is an easy round number & I think they only did it for the Jr. fans... but look, he may not make it this year... does that mean they'll extend it to 15 next year? I HOPE NOT!!! Sorry, don't mean to offend any Jr. fans... this is just my opinion!) :o)

Also, what do you think of the idea of having the "go or go home" drivers qualifying in a "pack"?? I think that Mikey Waltrip has a great idea in that! (Did you know Mikey mentioned it on "Inside Nextel Cup"?)

To say he's a bad driver is just not stupid. It's a shame because unlike Tony fat butt, Kevin winer and chicken Gordon; he seems like a very nice down to earth guy who happens to be blessed or cursed with the top name in racing.

I've said this before, but look at the facts. He took a car to third last year with no back end and most of the front missing. Drove a car with no power steering and still finished. He dosen't make excuses and really seems to understand how lucky he is to be were he is.

Now I don't no the man. Maybe he's a world class jerk. But he can drive. It's sad but in this "Sport", the best driver doesn't always win. And unlike the above mentioned snapperheads; junior has class... so let the hate mail begin

Is it because the F-1 cars are lighter than the Nascar cars. I have watched a few Formula One races, and whenever it rains you just put on rain tires and just keep racing.

During the race one of the big liquor companies (Jack or Jim) I don't remember which, ran an ad.Now,I'm not a big T.V. watcher other then Nascar, but does anyone know if they advertise Hard liquor on any other program.I also know they pulled all hard liquor ads years ago although I believe by agreement not law.Have I just been missing the fact they are advertising or is this new? I really don't care either way it just intriqued me and I wondered what the rest of you knew about the subject, any one think they shouldn't?

Why there are so many trolls in the Nascar section? Regardless of what these trolls say the Nascar fans here remain with their respect and class even when trolls bash the Nascar sport. Which I believe is a great reflection of why Nascar is what is today. I am a Nascar fan and always will be I love it and truly do appreciate the respect given from all the other fans and I'm glad I can come here and talk with other Nascar fans as well. Thank you race fans!!!!

What would be my chances if I was in a crowd at a NASCAR race and jumped up and yelled "Dale Earnhart Deserved To Die"
Wonder if I would deserve to die?

has anyone seen the nickelback music video for Rockstar? Dale Jr is shown in it like3 or 4 times lip singing to the song. It is funny because he sings the line
"And live in hilltop houses driving fifteen cars"

If you haven't seen it, you can check it out on their website

Junior has had very limited success as a NASCAR driver, yet it seems that a vast majority of NASCAR fans are Junior fans. He has never won a championship. Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, and Matt Kenseth are current drivers that have won the championship yet I know very few fans who support these drivers with the possible exception of Gordon, but Jeff has no where near the support Junior has. I see the # 8 everywhere.

Green flag on lap 13 and Montoya is already spinning on lap 15 causing a couple other drivers to spin out too.
10 laps from the end Gordon spins out and gets stuck in the wet soggy grass and goes a lap down.

Which spin out did you enjoy the most?

Does anyone else remember when the Nascar section had no trolls what so ever? Seriously, I've been part of Yahoo Answers for over a year and then I didn't come on here for like 5 months and then I come back again and find out about all the trolls here. I really miss the old Nascar forum and it looks like its gone forever. Sad but I'm sure some of you others remember this too.

I'm patting myself on the back for picking Carl for my new guy. Ive been hard core MM for 17 years. I thought about Tony, Jr., Casey, Jimmy and the Bush's.

It came out a toss up between Tony and Carl. I just like Carls attitude better, but Tony has done better so far.

My final proof of the right pick will be pooints at the end of the chase.

Git em carl

I won a bet on todays race because the #24 car went in the swamp. Too bad Gordon cut in front of Kenseth, (just like Montoya did to Truex at the Glen) It almost reminded me of last year when Kenseth took out Gordon, (and then Gordon shoved Kenseth like Harvick should've done to Montoya) I wonder if Gordons gonna punk Kenseth as retaliation, (like he did last year) In a way it kinda makes me have more respect for Kenseth. I'm still waiting for Montoya to get side by side with Gordon. With you know who on the inside lane. Bet hey #99 finished better than #24! All's I can say to Jeff Gordon is "sorry Jeffy ol' boy"
