They both rock!!! I have to say Daytona is my fave. Dude, you gotta see our keg party for the season opener. It's our superbowl party. More beer and food than we can consume.
A huge pot of steamed hot dogs - chili or sauerkrout all the fixins for them. A huge pot of my famous homemade chili(made with jalapenos and habaneros), buffalo wings, regular chicken wings, guacamole layer dip with chips, steak tips smothered in mushrooms and onions. Chips and dips. Too much more to list. Everybody brings something and we all put it together. What a bash. 16th annual this year and it just keeps getting better.
Oh and by the way, we do have safe drivers every year - we love our friends too much to lose them.

For the person that said Daytona is not a Superspeedway.
Nascar.com defines: Superspeedway: A racetrack that is greater than 2 miles in length.
Has nothing to do with who owns it. And Talladega is better because of drafting?
After the stories I have heard, I would rather go to Daytona. At least Yahoo_Board_Moderator and her "Redneck Family" won't be at that Daytona Race.

I've been to Talladega but not Daytona. Based on my experience at dega, I'd say Daytona would be the better track. There's so many low class trailer trash hill billys at Talladega. I won't be going back.

I like Talladega better, but it really depends on a person's preference. If you like wide open horsepower, then Talladega's for you. If you're more interested in how the car handles and how that affects the draft, then Daytona's your place.

Talladega is definitely better. There is much more room to maneuver the cars. They can go 3 and 4 wide with no problem. Also, the drivers can hold throttle wide open even through the turns.

I think Talladega is the better track, but I think Daytona is the better event.
