Did you just see Alonso blocking Lewis Hamilton in the pits stopping him from doing another run at pole? I say that Alonso is now in deep **** from Ron Dennis. What do you think Ron Dennis should do about this childish and not very sporting move on behalf of Alonso?

At the Hungarian GP qualifying, Alonso just sat in the pits blocking Hamilton so he didn't have enough time to complete another lap, Alonso managed to just get out and stole the pole for tomorrow.

What should Ron Dennis do now to address this move which would be classed as 'cheating' if it had been done by another driver?

Was it intentional?

Having driven in America, as soon as they get off the freeway their driving goes to pieces, hence the demise of Michael Andretti and Scott Speed and the success of Dario Franchetti.
Mario Andretti must have learnt to drive in Italy

I've been a fan of football and baseball all my life and never really saw a full NASCAR race but, only bits and pieces of it. So I have a few questions to ask from a non critical perspective. I know the object is to get to the finish line first but how do they determain the place they start out in with 30 different cars? How many professional race teams are there? How many courses? Do they have some sort of championship yearly? Is NASCAR bad for the air? And my last question is based on my point of view of never actually seeing a race: Does it get boring going around in oval the whole time? And the reason I ask these questions is: I want to here it from the fans.

how come they are the only Michelin team from all of the other teams who used Michelin tyres for the last 4 or so years. to have adapted to the bridgestone tyre so quickly and they are better than any of the other Michelin teams in the past?
Renault nowhere this year ,ex Michelin runner
Honda nowhere this year, ex Michelin runner
mclaren not that fast last year but very fast this year.
Ferrari bridgestone runners for god knows how long and even in theory they should have had alot more knowledge over mclaren over tyre wear etc, even if the tyre are totally new this year.
maybe there is more to this saga than we are being told?

agree ,disagree i would love to know the reason and so would Renault because they have problems adapting to this year bridgestone tyre?

I mean I like watching some car races they have in Europe where they don't just go around in a circle over and over again. But NASCAR is just so boring. The way I see it is NASCAR: NON ATHLETIC SPORT CENTERED AROUND REDNECKS

Everybody on TV keeps saying he does, but on nascar.com it says Tony Stewart holds the record. Does anybody know the truth?

From Fox News.

ESPN earned just a 4.2 Nielsen rating for its 2007 NASCAR debut last week at Indianapolis, a 24 percent drop from last year's race on NBC. Then again, maybe that was a good thing, because it meant that many fewer people saw the miserable way ESPN handled the end of the race, failing to show any drivers other than the winner crossing the finish line. Plus, the order of finish behind winner Tony Stewart wasn't seen for nearly two full minutes after the race.

O.K., most of you have played the teammate challenge but this week we will shake it up in honor of the early silly season. Pick the teammate from EACH pair (rumored to be, gonna be or already is) that you think will do better at Pocono. The person with the most right drivers wins. The tiebreaker will be who will finish 21st (the last driver in the top 1/2 of the field).
1) Mark Martin/Martin Truex Jr
2) Jeff Gordon/Kyle Busch
3) Dale Earnhardt Jr/Jimmie Johnson
4) Ryan Newman/Clint Bowyer
5) Kevin Harvick/Jeff Burton
6) Juan Montoya/Reed Sorenson
7) Matt Kenseth/Carl Edwards
8) Tony Stewart/Denny Hamlin
9) Jamie McMurray/Greg Biffle
10) Kasey Kahne/Elliott Sadler
Tiebreaker:Who will finish 21st?

Good luck to all, enjoy the race.

Yeah, I know it's silly and has nothing to do with the driving, but it's fun.

I say Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo Montoya.

Has anyone ever done that? or taken the whole year off and cruise the country and go to every race??
Sounds like fun to me but expensive and I'd probably ahve to wait untill im like old but then Jeff Gordon wouldnt be driving anymore or anyone else that races now...they would all b old men...anyways....

I met him and while i was there we talked for about 10 minutes just about everything and one thing that came up is how much of a girl kasey is while hes on the track. that is what robby said.
lol
then he said that i am a really cool guy to talk to.

Tony Stewart says whats on his mind. Some love him...others hate him. Why is it that a driver has to be so politcally correct and Mr.Goody Two Shoes.
A driver says "Sh!T" and the Nascar gods fine him?...ever heard of tape delay Nascar? I guess it's not who you know...it's who you _ low.
First it's excessive commercials that turn you away and next it's the Nascar Nazi police.
