I been watching it since '96, i was a big Sr. fan, when he die i just quit watching NASCAR. I started watching again in 2004, after i heard Jr. won the Daytona 500. And decided to become a Jr. fan. I would say overall my favorite season of NASCAR would be 2000 though. Sr was very great that year and finished 2nd in points. Plus lets not forget his last win at Talledega, he went from way back in the pack to win the race in a matter of a couple of laps, good times.

How do the members of the pit crew, mechanics, etc. get paid. Do they have a set salary or do they earn a portion of their driver's winnings or both?

I was just wondering what kind of driver he was. What you thought of him. Kasey Kahne is my favorite driver and I heard that Bill Elliott used to drive the #9. I didnt pay enough attention to NASCAR when he drove to know anything about him. Was he good? Was he nice? or was he an aggressive driver? Tell me what you know.

Everybody is talking about Jr. finishing off the race in Texas in the 5 car. If his contract negotiations didn't work out at DEI and he somehow ended up working for HMS how many of his fans would turn on him? It probably wouldn't matter if he went to Gibbs or Childress but many of his fans have a hatred for Rick Hendrick and his drivers.

What do you expect will happen between Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo Montoya this weekend? You know Tony's not the type to let things go. I suspect if he gets a chance, Tony is going to give Juan a push or two.

Yes, Suzuka is a great track and I am sorry to see that is not on the calendar this year, but it will be back next year. Surely the wait only makes it more special? This year we have Fuji and I'm quite looking forward to it. Am I the only one?

I heard the nascar guys are keeping Her out, out of fear She will dominate. She is entirely fearless. And Her weight is such an advantage. She would entirely steal the show.

If the USGP left that boring, Mickey Mouse track at Indy, where would you like to see it go?

I would love to see a purpose-build track at Las Vegas. The money is there, and land is there, adjacent to the Speedway if the proper deal could be hammered out. It's already the adult playground of the world.

I wonder how much longer Toyota is going to put up with Michael Waltrips failing to make any races. I have a feeling that unless MWR can start making the races Toyota is going to pull the plug on MWR. I wonder if alochol was involved in Michael's accident the other day. Was that why he failed to wait for the police to arrive ??

Never been to a race. My husband is really into NASCAR but hasn't been to a race either. Thinking about trying to get tickets. From Baltimore, Dover is closer but Pocono has more to do in the area. Any suggestions, insight? Pros and cons of both (or either) appreciated. Thanks.

I wonder if Michael Schumacher would have had the same problems overtaking alonso, when he was Kimi age?

My take is a YES! Definitely.

But isn't Singapore a bit too small? Even having the Monte Carlo racing track style, can Singapore able to block so many roads and lanes? This obviously will disrupt Singapore public transportation system. Furthermore, Singaporeans are dependants on its public transports, I think blocking roads could bring negative impact on its economy.
And with all the expansions going to the IR and Sentosa upgrading, isn't it too ambitious?- I mean, there's nothing wrong being ambititious, but look, there are some neighbours who are a bit unhappy with Singapore's decision. Shouldn't Singapore take a step back and let matters go in a flow?
