True, look at it this way ...if the drag car was at the start finish line at Daytona and took off when the Nascar came by at 200 mph the dragster would win in a quarter mile race from the dead stop.

True, they demo'd a Top Fuel during this years spring Bristol race and it scared Kenny Wallace to death. It's more horsepower and drag racing is awesome. Most racing is awesome. But if a NASCAR car had as much horsepower as a Top Fuel or Funny Car it would be way too dangerous for the Drivers involved. Fatalities at every singel race would be a certainty; a certainty that no Driver or Fan wants.
NHRA is a sprint
NASCAR is a marathon
They are different types of racing; but still great racing either way.

And a Top Fuel/Funny Car only uses up 4 and a half seconds to run and NASCAR takes three hours plus, so what to do....
I Love to watch them both.

Yes,
But could a dragster make one lap on an oval race track?
Drag racers go straight for 4 or 5 sec., then get out and go sit in their motor home and watch TV for an hour while their crew rebuilds the motor.
Two totally different sports
I don't know what point your trying to make

So what. Drag racers have 1/4 mile to worry about a race. NASCAR has up to 500 miles to worry about a race. NASCAR engines don't get rebuilt multiple times on a race weekend.

Oh yeah, what kind of fuel mileage are they getting and do you think they would last a 500 or 600 mile race?

And your point is?
Your going 1/4 mile compared to 500 miles,no comparison.
That's all I have to say about that.

Whoopie. Evel Knievel had to bail out halfway over the Snake River Canyon in a rocketship that he tried to convince people was a motorcycle. Draggin's cool, but it ain't racin'.
