Auto Racing - August 2006

Now that Elliott Sadler is with Evernham motorsports, I want to get my friend number 19 merchandise and her birthday is coming up, i've been told by my mom, that she figured within the next week, but how long do ya'll think it'll take for them to get elliott sadler number 19 stuff out? My man is Dale Earnhardt Jr. so I've never had a problem finding shirts and stuff like that for myself...

I'm going to the Bristol night race this week but I have never been there before. I heard it's one of the best. I been to Daytona, Michigan, Indy and Charlotte and like them all. I'm sure this one will be great too but I'm new to the short track. Any opinions?????

What do you think about this....2 weeks ago, Kurt Busch, who was leading the race at the time, is at the entrance to pit road, there was a late caution flag (it should have been thrown ALOT sooner then it was), and about 10 feet from the commitment entrance to pit road, they close pit road to all drivers. However, Kurt Busch was already commited to coming into the pits. Do you think this was a Nascar mistake? Do you think Kurt should have been penalized for it?

Who thinks Carl Edwards was in the wrong at Saturday night's Busch Race, and who thinks Dale Jr started it? I personally think it was an accident what Jr. did... Carl would have done the same thing- he got loose and Jr got into the back of him. I just want to hear opinions thats all!

Ford 460 jet boat project. Had a mechanic helping out but is no longer available. Totally rebuilt and almost complete. Need to mount intake, torque rockers, install electronic msd ignition, figure out timimg curve and tune/prime to ready for break in. My first v8 and just need a few hours with somebody who has experience. Is located on near west side of cleve and have all the tools necessary to complete. Will pay cash and go for a jet boat ride you probably won't forget.

i dont get it i know drifting is an increasin motor sport in the US and i was one of the first to hear it in the US and instantly loved it. but all over i see people disrespecting it, i wanna know why people hate it and also some drift lovers comments would be great, hey u get 2 points, but i wanna know why some people dont take it as a serious motor sport. and if ur a hater well too bad if u hate it, its here and its here to stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiny Lund stopped in the middle of a race to pull a fellow driver from a burning wreck, later he was rewarded by being put in the driver's seat of the injured man's car the next week where he gained his one and only victory in NASCAR. Davey Alison's Father told him that he couldn't race until he first finished high school and got a diploma, so what did he do, Davey attended summer school and took extra classes and graduated ahead of schedule to that he could go ahead and get behind the wheel and make his dreams come true.

What is it that makes people who hate either Jeff Gordon, Dale Jr, or Tony Stewart use words like 'gay' or 'redneck' in their posts rather than just saying 'I hate so-and-so'? Is it that bashers get vicarious thrills getting their fans p*ssed off?
