Mine was, many years ago I worked for an insurance company and we used to be one of the sponsors for Jordan F1 team cars. Just before the start of the season, as a treat and publicity thingy for the staff, one of the cars was brought into our office building ( a huge building accomodating 3000 staff) anyway, I worked late into the evenings, 9pm was normal time, I knew there was a big event for the next day, but I had a day off. As I walked down the stairs of the main atrium, I could see the F1 car there, all under wraps, as the new logos etc were to be unveiled the next day. I used like watching F1 and asked this guy if I could have a look, "No" was the answer, but I persisted, being really 'girly' and telling him how I really wanted to see the car up close and personal, eventually he lifted one corner, I went off happy, only to find out from the local paper, it was Eddie Jordan I'd been aggravating for a peek

I'm completely ignorant of this sport, despite having seen pieces on TV. It looks as simple as a bunch of cars going in circles at high speeds.

What skills do the race car drivers possess that even an accomplished driver doesn't?
What technical constraints are there in the race (e.g. amount of fuel, engine size, etc.)?
Is a car driven by a team of drivers, or is this an individual sport?
Is the first car that crosses the finish line the winner, or are points scored during the race and tallied at the end?
As a spectator, what should I observe in order to enjoy the race?

Thanks.

Yes. Erin Crocker and Danicka Patrick are good drivers. I hope to see them race in Nextel soon. Men are not the only ones that can drive. Women are as good as men. If they can beat te men in Arca and IRL, Then they can beat the men in Nextel.

I really don't get it. Everyone blathers on about skill and junk while going 200MPH, but in the end you're still just driving in a circle. Hell - Malibu Grand Prix is more fun to watch.

Im not really a NASCAR fan actually i dont like it at all. But you cannot deny how big it has become. NASCAR is now bigger than the FA primership, The La liga of spain, NBA, MLB, NFL. Thats pretty impressive cause NASCAR wasnt nothing not too long ago. With JP Montoya going to NASCAR. NASCAR will even become bigger. Kudos to NASCAR.

Let 'em know! What would you want? A speedway background? An infield party background? Your favorite driver's T-shirt (which one)? A fan scan to hold? A NASCAR cap?

I know they read these, so let's tell them!

Hey, who would love to see a website created just for those haters who wanna bash NASCAR? They could be with their own peers, and say whatever stupid, mindless things they want to say without having us fans to annoy them?

More people say Petty because of all his victory's. In my opinion, Petty won all those races in a time when things weren't restricted as they are today. The more money you had, the better car you had. Most of the guys back then didn't have the money Petty did to have a car to compete with him. What's your thoughts?

Denny Hamlin. He has won twice so far this year. Denny has the most top 5 then any rookie this year. This rookie class this year is a good group. They all can race and at least has one top 5.
