was running great than my son tried towing another atv now it won't go into gear

Always give year, make engine size and model # when asking questions. Fourtrax? Sportrax? Fourtrax 4x4?
Depending on your model, some have 2 clutches. A conventional clutch for smooth shifting and a centrifugal clutch for the automatic drive. The weights in the centrifugal clutch could be stuck or the shoes are worn. A broken drive shaft. Internal shift linkage. Stripped or bent shift shaft or lever. When you move the shift lever, can you feel the trani shifting? We need more information. Include the motorcycle section when you ask quad questions.
