Sports - 2 September 2006

I am trying to be a faster long distance runner and cover 3 miles in under 18 minutes. I have never trained in running before. Do I just run a distance and try to do it faster every day or What is going to make me a faster runner?

I also need to improve my 120yard sprints, I need to do about 10 of those in under 15 seconds eventually.

Or should they do just like the Rep. of Mongolia or the Commonwealth of Vanuatu and chose not to participate because they, just like USA, consider themselves far too good for the the rest of the world???

To all the fans of N. Illinois and others who thought they would beat Ohio State today. What makes you guys think that a non-ranking team could possibly beat a team that is ranked #1 in the poll? I guess it is okay to dream, but there is no comparison to a team where basically 1 player scored the only touchdown (the 2 pt conversion was no good). Only that player was worth looking at, but the whole Ohio State team was the playmakers.
