I understand the main difference of the soul between the two, in Buddhism it being on-existent, but how long after death do they teach it takes to be reborn in these religions.

Please stay away rude people who follow monotheistic faiths, thanks.

I plan to take these answers very seriously, in deciding what to do when confronted by those who subscribe to any particular religious belief.

Here are the principal arguments:

1) Total lack of historical evidence that he ever existed.
Fundamentalist apologists cite a lot-- ALL of it bad
and easily refuted by a competent scholar.

2) The close resemblance of the Jesus story to the essential
outline of the Mystery Cults: god-men, born of virgins on
December 25th, who die on a tree and rise from the dead,
giving immortality to their devoted disciples. Plus a
sacramental meal of bread & wine. Plus ritual baptism,
even being literally "washed in the blood".

3) The convoluted distortion of Old Testament passages use
as "prrof texts", and the indication that a lot of the details of
the story were borrowed from the OT and inserted into the
text of the NT.

In all, it's highly fishy. There is no reason to conclude that Jesus ever existed. Only wishful thinking. But all the wishful thinking in the world cannot make delusion real.

Then how are Jesus and the holy spirt equal to god. Is that not a partner or taking multiple gods? And wouldnt that make the 1st commandment flawed. and if God didnt know what was gonna happen with adam and eve. Then how could he be the knower of all things. And that couldnt happen... So wouldnt God already have a plan set up for that sin. And not have to use Jesus. To die for our sins?

Just as an example, the Andromeda galaxy is two million light years from our galaxy, meaning its light takes that long to reach us, meaning we see the Andromeda galaxy as it existed two million years ago.

But -- this does not conform with the Bible.

My proposal is stimple: We can declare these astronomical distances false, and we will not allow any distances greater than 6,000 light years.
This will help astronomy to once again be in accordance with the Bible.
And thereby to be brought in line with the thinking of church folks.

Other scientific areas that need to be revised or recinded: Evolution, plate teconics, and radioactivity, etc. Little by little science can be revised.

What? Yes, perhaps geologists and others will object, but the advantages far outweigh their objections. The advantages are substantial.

Bringing science in line with the thinking of church folks, this alone will offer great benefits.

Are you people with me on this?

Coal is mostly the result of ancient land plants, and oil is primarily the result of ancient ocean plants. (Life is carbon based, and these materials are carbon based.) If you think the world is only 6,000 years old, then no wonder you think we can't run out of this stuff; it must get formed rather quickly. But funny, I don't think we've ever seen any new coal or oil formed in our lifetime, nor the lifetimes of any relative we've ever known about.

I think I identify with Paul the apostle. I am not as great as he is. But, When I was in my teens I used to ridicule Christians even standing outside the church not wanting to go in. But, he appeared to me in a vision when someone laid hands on my head for prayer and he revealed the truth to me. I now love my lord and savior Jesus Christ and the Father above. It impacted me so much that I now walk the violent streets of Mexico trying to preach the gospel of love and peace to all who are willing to listen.

Blessings

I asked a question about abortion and recd. This as one answer….

I'll give the same answer I did before. If it is pre-viability, then the mother can choose to abort for any reason she wants to, as it is not yet a human being.

Is it not human until it draws breath? Is it human when it’s heart starts to beat? Is it human when it has 10 fingers 10 toes? Is it a human when the mother can feel it kicking?

Some of you will say its ‘alive’ when he/she can survive outside the womb on its own, as a father of 3, one being almost 20 I can honestly say he still can not ‘Survive’ on his own.

My question is simple, who gets to decide when a pre-born child is human?
