....Or if I could easily prevent an injury, but choose not to?
....Or if I could easily prevent a human tragedy, but choose not to?

Am I immoral if I KNEW an invention of mine would cause millions of people to die?
Am I immoral if I had the strength to hold back a tidal wave, yet allowed it to drown thousands of people?
Am i immoral if I allowed you to suffer for eternity, simply because you refused to love me?

IS GOD IMMORAL?
And people wonder where we Atheists get our morality!

you know this whole "day after holiday shopping" thing is nuts. Talking to my Mom- she called it "black friday". I guess as in "The economy is in the red, we need to (do our patriotic duty and) spend it back into the black" friday. I dunno, i never heard the term in that sense before. Then just today they use the term on the news and my roomie mark says he's never heard that term for it before either. Taa -daa, the introduction of media-spun slang!
--Well, when I hear it, I tend to either think of Steely Dan's song "Black Friday" --a song about (at the least) economic apocalypse --or i think of "Good Friday", which commemorates the Crucifixion of Jesus. Of course, these ironic opposites always come out during Christmas. WELL, I'm seriously of the opinion stated in the sentence "What Would Jesus Buy?"
--He'd BUY NOTHING -- Besides He's already given us all the greatest gift.

And have other inappropriate reactions to stressful or surprise situations?

Well, what if Jesus comes back, and I just bust out laughing as soon as I see him? Will he smite me?

What is hinduism?
who is real god in hinduism?
when this was named?
who started it ?
who are the followers?
who does it belongs to ?
what hindu religion preach or teach
what are its basic concepts and principles?
( for eg. Ahimsa cannot be hindu pricinple though it is claimed by them, if ahimsa is hindu concept why then animal sacrifice , tantric rituals etc?)
Why so much of confusion in basic understanding of hinduism?

Why hindu gods have no history?
Hindu is claimed to be old religion, then why no evidence was found in Indus valley excavations?
Was hinduism offshoot of Sramanic religion of dravids? (sramanic religion is known as Jain)

So tell me when it started, who started, who named, what are basic concepts of hinduism?
However we can classify hinduism is not a religion but it is a social hierarchy system which certain group of ruling people made for their supremacy. Upper class aryans who were looking for human slaves , to do low class job, hinduism was created.

I mean, I understand if people would get upset that a CHRISTIAN (of all people) would swear, judge, or hate someone, but seriously, aside from religious things, we're all still people, and we're going to have flaws like that, big or small. I understand that being a christian, you should minimize those things+etc because it follows the christian beliefs, but it just bothers me when someone says someone did something bad, then they add, "and they call themselves a christian!"

I know that there are plenty of christians that are really harsh, and just plain don't "act like a christian," but there are a lot of christians who are trying to change from who they are and were, even if their immediate actions don't prove it.

And i'm also aware that christians aren't the only religion stereotyped, i'm just talking about htem specifically right now

Have religious Americans any right to criticize Muslims when the difference is just a matter of degree? The healthy relaxed safe beaches of Australia, Brazil and Europe, to name a few, confirm the backwardness of Americans who feel so ashamed of their own bodies.
The sad fact is that most of those who answer here
have never been to a nude beach and don't know what they are talking about.

In the public hospital of Itagua (RJ) last weekend was born a girl with hands joined together, like one who's praying.

The doctors told the parents that they would operate the hands of that girl, and that they would give her antistatic. The operation was easy because it seemed like the hands were simply glued together one membrane (skin) layer apart.

When they opened up the hand of that child, you can't imagine what was written...

JESUS IS COMING BACK... The doctors started weeping and all that were in the hospital.

The suburb of Itagua is undergoing a movement now, People that have withdrawn from church are going back and others are receiving Jesus Christ as the only savior.

God send that child simply to convey that message.

After a few hours she died: JESUS IS COMING BACK

I have received now I'm passing on!!!

The Lord of Lords is coming back.
"Seek you the LORD while HE may be found, call you upon Him while He is near:" Isaiah 55:6

I think that the Religion and Spirituality category is simply a way for both sides to insult the other. What do you think? Majority of the people on here would never say things to you're face.
For example: "Oh, I think aheists, Muslims etc., are stupid"
But would they ever say it to a Muslim, Christian, Atheist etc., face?

I hear all these reasons why, he is a just God, Gives us a choice etc, sent his son to die for us so we wouldnt have to go there, well, maybe if he loved us as you say he would never have made it. then you will say, only the worthy can be in heaven, God can not live with evil. well, Maybe God shouldnt ask so much of us, he made us this way, dont ya think?

The Bible does NOT claim that it is a science book. What it does tell us is; God's plan of redemption, how He has interacted with humanity and Christian living. Nothing more.

A basic rule of interpreting any text, is to do so in light of what the text claims of itself.

When Christ began His ministry He preached first "repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." Matt. 4:17, this is supported by Mark 1:15. Not one single solitary mention of the dynamics of creation, biology, chemistry, mathematics, or any other modern science.

Friends, "The Bible tells us how to go to heaven, not how the heavens go." Galileo. "The universe has been wrought for us by a supremely good and orderly Creator," Copernicus. "The Spirit of God who spoke through [the Biblical writers] did not choose to teach about the heavens to men, as it was of no use for salvation," Augustine.

I enjoy Clive Cussler's adventure novels, but I wouldn't grab one if I wanted a recipe for apple pie, I'd get a cookbook.

What do you think?

I don't think so.
He wanted to liberate his people from slavery and occupation by saying that he was the son of God but things went VERY wrong when Jewish leaders turned against him. He thought he was the Messiah and that cost him his life.
I am sure that if he could escape death he would without a doubt, because he was only human after all.
That is my opinion.
