There must be miles of footage on the hypocritical finger-pointing millionaire tele-evangelists & how they misused the tithing's they misappropriated from the gullible.Marketed well--it would not only be a money maker--but also serve as a warning to those future generations how easily they can be deceived by shonky showmen.

I was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1995. From 1981 until then all I knew was salvation (fire insurance). In 1995 I decided to give Jesus everything and it was then that I was filled with the Power of the Holy Spirit. I speak with many Christians who say that it is not necessary. For me it was the greatest day of my life aside from confessing Jesus. Some will say that you received all the Holy Spirit you will get when you put your faith in Jesus but I am here to tell you that is not true. Christians, if you do not seek this most needed gift from God then it will be virtually impossible for you to make it through the days that are ahead of us. I am not questioning your salvation if you have put you faith in Christ but encourage you to seek Gods best for you.

Those who are not Christians can post away. I am just glad your on here catching some truth. Faith comes by hearing and if you are on this site then you are hearing at least some truth.

Speaking only in reference to the United States, and it's government "of the people, by the people, and for the people."
Who is our "king?"

I Peter 13-17:
"Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. For this is the will of God, by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men, as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king."

Recently, i've been forgetting to pray at night.
I go to church on Wensdays. Though i don't really have that want to go, as much as i used too.
I can't go on Sunday's, if i could i probably would.
Just today i asked my mom "How do we know if there is a God?"
She said, "The Bible."
Then i said "Its a book."
I didn't mean it how it sounded. Yes its a book, filled with truths and God's wants, but i didn't mean "Its just a silly old book!"
I feel I'm losing touch with God.
How do i regain my relationship with him? The one i had not too long ago?

Matthew 12:40 says..."For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

So not being a mathematician by any means, but able to count to three, if jesus died on a Friday and he spent 3 nights in the tomb, that would put him as resurrecting on a Monday.

Catholics, can you help me out here? I put this question out earlier and did not receive any good answers. St. Francis of Assisi tried, but he lost count at 2.

I will be another year older in a few days, and it's really got me wishing that I was a little younger. Not because I feel old, but just because I am not quite at an age that's considered "young" anymore.

If I could go back, I would be 18 again. Not quite an adult, but still old enough to be on my own and make my own decisions about most things.

If you could go back, what age do you wish you could be all over again?

This is a question about cussing. I understand how the G.D. word is taking God's name in vain. For that matter, so would the words G. darn and G. Almighty too, unless you were praying with that last one.

My question is, why is the F word and body-part words considered a sin? If you don't say God or Jesus, how is that taking Gods name in vain?

Every step I take,
every move I make,
every single day,
every time I pray,
I'll be missing you.
It's kind of hard, with you not around..
Til the day we meet again, in my heart is where I keep you,
friend.
..Wish I could turn back the hands of time.

When I hear that, someone always comes to my mind.

Does anyone ever pop into your head, when you hear something like that?

If a JW does not want to celebrate Christmas or birthdays, because they think it is evil/pagan, should we not leave it alone for the sake of peace and love? What say you?

Tooth falls out.

Tooth is put under pillow.

$1 appears within 8 hours.

The $1 is real, like a watch found on a sandy beach, meaning that the tooth fairy is real?

Logical? Reasonable? 100% theologically sound? Completely proves the theory of intelligently designed $1 bill?

Why do you think that God is suppose to prevent you from experiencing suffering and turmoil? Sure every one wants to live in a protected world, but to do so you are not living. Even Buddha was protected from trials and tribulations, by his family. When he found out that he was shielded from life, he set out to live a life that he was denied.

To me, it says that there are an awful lot of people who think that self-professing pagans are better examples of "Love thy neighbor" than self-professing Christians.

Does this sadden you as much as it saddens me?

Do you have a different take on it?

Those who promote homosexuality often tell us that science has determined that homosexuality is innate and biologically determined. However, I have yet to see any sexual liberal actually present this supposed scientific evidence. What scientific discovery overthrows the past consensus that sexual interests are learned?

Why do some Christians deny an eternal Hell when the eternal nature of hell is stressed in the New Testament? For example, in Mark 9:47–48 Jesus warns us, "It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched." And in Revelation 14:11, we read: "And the smoke of their torment goes up for ever and ever; and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name."

Hell is not just a theoretical possibility. Jesus warns us that real people go there. He says, "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few" (Matt. 7:13–14).

Any guess?
