Bear with me: if a near death experience is something humans evolved to ease the trauma of death, how did it get in the gene pool, seeing as the person was dead? Did that many prehistoric people get mauled, trampled, speared, whatever, have an NDE, amazingly resuscitate after nearly dying, and then go on to have offspring who inherited that ability? This is the only part of the "NDE is evolutionary" theory that I can't figure out. From a materialist point of view, it seems statistically improbable.

My father (a lapsed Catholic) and his fiancee (also a lapsed Catholic) got married in a Protestant Church. I wasn't really amused because I object to people using a Church for the ambiance, sentimentality, or whatever other silly reason they have to marry there. I think that those who are not practicing a particular faith should not marry in a temple, synagogue, or Church. I don't think it is appropriate. Nevertheless, there seem to be a lot of people who feel differently. So could someone please enlighten me? Why go to a Church to be married instead of to a Justice of the Peace if you are not religious?

Search within your hearts.....Since I deny the existence of gods or holey spirits, are you honestly and truly sad about that or you could care less about me?

Does it make you feel better that, maybe, I will recant on my deathbed, just like you claim Darwin did?

If Christianity is the chosen religion of "God" why does "God" let the Jews have the religious sacred land. Does it not seem that if there was a true religion that it would be Judism as God has allowed them to worship and control his holy city? It's not like Christians have not confronted this flaud in their religion by trying to take Jerusalem with violence (which is against the bible and there believes so they all would go to "hell") it appears that it will always be the Jews'. In my opinion no one religion is any more logical/correct than the other but I'm just curious on how facts like these affect Christians and Jews.
Please comment in detail.
Thank you and have a good day!

I am not lesbians myself and I find it hard to understand gays & lesbians...

But if those assure us that it's their biological feelings and needs... how can most religions deny them?

Why is that when something happens to a person, a person will say "if there was a God, this would never happen." Well if you don't think there is a God, then why pose the question in the first place?
