I am not lesbians myself and I find it hard to understand gays & lesbians...

But if those assure us that it's their biological feelings and needs... how can most religions deny them?

As most of the people here said, it's not a natural biological thing. Just take a look at our anatomy. Without being too graphic, the sexual organs of men and women were made to fit together.

Now, although I am a Christian, and trust God's Word which says that homosexuality is a sin, I also believe that certain people are born with a natural propensity towards homosexuality . . . in the same way that EVERYONE else is born with a natural propensity to sin in his/her own way(s). Therefore, we who do not struggle with homosexuality are not better than those who do; our sins simply aren't as pronounced as theirs.

The wonderful and beautiful thing is that if we repent of our sins (simply turn and change directions), and instead put our faith in Him, trusting Him while renouncing these sinful desires, He gives us eternal life . . . not to mention the grace to flee these temptations. We are no longer mastered by those sinful desires; we then have a choice. :)

If it were proven to be a biological issue, then it could possibly cause some religions to pause and perhaps reconsider their thinking. My interest is where exactly in the Bible it says that being gay/lesbian is a sin, other than stating that marriage is between a man and a woman. I'm not talking about marriage however, nor am I talking of sex before marriage (also considered a sin). Most likely I am overlooking the specific passage(s), but would like to know for future reference.

Okay take God out of it and say man and woman are biological results. And evolution is about the survival of the fittest. And that means to continue our species. A gay or lesbian partnership for life doesn't fit into the natural world of evolution.

Natural thing is what is right in nature . If it were a natural thing they could procreate that way which they can not. It is a perversion of what sex was intended for, just like bestiality. It is a choice one makes by what they allow themselves to be open to or what they have experienced at a young age.

PS Eric well stated !!
Dark Angel to answer you you will find the "laws of sex" in Leviticus 18 and in particular Verse 22 "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."

Because they don't think it it's a natural biological thing, Remember RELIGION AND SCIENCE are two different things. Christians think its from Satan and it can be cured by the love of Jesus.

Because it is not a biological feeling. It is a sin. Or at least that is what God says it is.

Cause its not a natural biological thing........

ITS AGAINST NATURE ITSELF...........

AND ITS AN ABOMINATION in the SIGHT of GOD
AND ITS ...SIN....
IT IS WRITTEN-----"" Wherefore GOD also gave them upto uncleaness through the lusts of thier own hearts , to dishonor thier own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie , and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator , who blessed for ever. Amen.
For this cause God gave them up unto Vile affections ; for even thier women did change the NATURAL USE into that which is AGAINST NATURE:
And likewise also the men , LEAVING the NATURAL USE of the Women , burned in thier lust one toward another . men with men , working that WHICH IS UNSEEMLY, and recieving in THEMSELVES that RECOMPENCE of thier ERROR which was meet.
And even as they did not like toi retain God in thier knowledge , GOD gave them over to a REPROBATE MIND , to do those things which are not Convenient .""
Romans 1:24-28

They are REPROBATE MINDED !!!!!!!
