The imagery may come from the book of Daniel:

"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." - Daniel 12:4.

The Gospel of John 21:25
"But there are also many other things which Jesus did; were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written".

I believe this best answers your question. Jesus is beyond our understanding of limitations. He is after-all the First Cause, the First Action in the history of the Universe.

As you well know, the internet is not mentioned in The Bible, as it had not yet been discovered. Neither is TV. Neither is electricity.
Cell phones are not discussed, either.
You see, God gave people minds with which to invent and discover these things.

Would you expect a Science textbook written in 1800 to discuss DNA or chemotherapy?

You'll be surprised. :)

"When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, 'Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.' But Simon answered and said to Him, 'Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.' And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking." (Luke 5:4-6)

"And He said to them, 'Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.' So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish." (John 21:6)
