If you don't you need to be evangalized. Jesus wants you to have abundant ........vibrant, adventurous joy filled lives.
Let him Revive you before you try to talk about him to others! Nobody wants sour grapes served to them on a cold religious platter! Halleluiah glory to GOD!

Well, do they? Since it's taboo for a Christian to have sexual relations before marriage, wouldn't that really turn you on if you had the opportunity to deflower a virgin Christian (consensually of course). I know some of you Atheists would do it.

That many times the people from church can be stuffy, impossible to talk to ......will not laugh, too serious and all that? And you feel like you have to hide things and pretend to be perfect and not be yourself? Is this just me or have you experience this too? I love Jesus but I find it's rare to find a JOY FILLED Christian. I think that is sad. I challenge anyone who is being "religious" and boring in your Christian walk to be the first one to shake things up, break things up ......whatever you have to do to have a vibrant joy filled life in Christ the one who loves you.

seriously, it always seems to be the big topic. christians constantly asking why atheists celebrate something they dont believe in...

what is the purpose of these absurd questions? especially when its obvious they havent done research on the history/origin of their beloved hollidays.

does it really bug christians that atheists get a day off to spend with their families?

i remember my lessons teaching that the mob did take a woman who died that night from the Multiple rapes!
Some teach that Hospitality of the Host was to protect the strangers, i.e. (angels) from the mob at all cost.
but it is clear that the MOB wanted Sexual gratification from the new men and so Lot offered his daughters instead. but it seems they rejected this offer and because they tried to break down the door the angels caused them to be blind.
either way, the cities of the valley were destroyed.

I hear so many people claim that their favorite holy book of "truth" is the inspired word of a god and that makes it true more than any other book that claims to be the inspired word of a god, and that fallacy alone is enough for me to not take such a holy book of "truth" as anything more than propaganda. But the real problem that I have with books and believers that make such claims is that many of the believers of such books will claim that the other holy books are "man-made" and therefore false, while theirs is "inspired by god" and therefore true.

Are these people not aware that if something is "inspired" by something, that means that whatever it was is created by man, and is therefore man-made? People are inspired by all kinds of stuff, from ocean sunsets to the words of a good coach, that does not mean that the ocean sunset painted the painting or the coach played the game, all it means is that someone found inspiration in what they experienced and acted on it.

OFCOURSE THEY CAN!!!

But my REAL question is, what do you think of the christians here who stands up for atheists (which of course they can do for themselves), who jokes with the atheists ONLY (I do too as my history will show but NOT to the point of EXCLUSIVITY) and who never asks them meaningful questions that doesn't involve humor ....some atheists here are on my contact lists b/c although some can be arrogant (just like some christians) others are quite endearing... Lord Vader, My Prophet of Lettuce, Murazor, Skalikitty just to name a few.... I don't find them ALL endearing and I don't care who knows it which is why I don't walk on eggshells with them and am not afraid of thumbs down or of being ostracized. It's okay not to like ALL of them you know. I wonder what atheists think about that christian who doesn't stand up for christians, questions ONLY christians in a demeaning way but never atheists.

In Christianity people sometimes use the word "Lord" to refer to God or Jesus.
Is this a carryover from a time in human history when people thought their political rulers were divine?
Since the name Baal, in an ancient Middlle Eastern religion means "Lord," is the use of the name "Lord" a carryover?

compare the wine that made Lot and Noah drunk with the church of the anticrhist in the book of revelation:

to me, the cup of wine which was given to Lot and Noah was like being drugged and raped and these verses describe the False religion of sorcery which forces people to FORNICATE and yes Conceive children as well, that is why Issaiah declares a reproach agains women to take men without their name. it is also a form of sorcery that deceives the Nations of the world, but unto the kings of the earth, They seem to submit to fornication, therefore they are destroyed. So it seems to me.

Would Christians worship him?

or even Jim Baker and say, that’s what Christians do. But is that really a good acessment? In science if you take a test and repeat it over and over and over, and come out with 540,000 good results, but 5 or 6 bad results, is the logical conclusion not, the 540,000 must be right? There are over 540,000 Christian churches in this nation. You don’t hear about the people they feed, you don’t hear about the people they clothe. You don’t hear about the orphans they help place, and support till they are adopted. You don’t hear of the billions of dollars in aid that they give around the world to help ease suffering and pain. The first ones on site after Katrinia, was the Southern Baptist assc. With their mobile kitchens to feed the ten of thousands that they feed. They asked nothing in return. They did not demand ‘convert or starve’ as many like to say they do.. They saw a need and filled the gap. While everyone else stood by and complained, or blamed, churches form around the nation got to work. In many places they are still there, volunteering to build houses, and help those still in need. Yes some do wrongs, but is there a group that does not? Mao and Castro were both atheist, should all atheist be condemned for their action? Should all Muslims be condemned for 9/11? Do the 540,000 + who do what is right and just, along with the millions of their members are they all to be condemned for such a few who did wrong?

The idea that Mormons reject technology comes from those who confuse us with the Amish. In fact, Mormons have embraced technology. Mormons invented word processing (WordPerfect), video games (Atari, "Pong"), the odometer, fry sauce, television, the electric traffic light, the hearing aid, and synthetic diamonds, among other products. Novell was also founded by Mormons. Napoleon Dynamite's Kip, played by a Mormon actor, expresses the Mormon love-affair with technology in his touching ballad, "I Love Technology...Always and Forever."

Okay.. on my lunch break I started down some random train of thought so you lovely people get to talk about it with me, ok? :o)

I started thinking about how my fiance believes in God because that is how he was raised by his parents and grandparents. He's never read the Bible. He knows some scripture, but only what has been singled out by his parents to illustrate certain aspects of the religion for him.

Okay, so, here's the thing. I tend to think his beliefs are rather ridiculous, but then I started thinking that the only reason why he believes such things is because he was taught them by people he considers trustworthy and credible (his parents). He trusts their opinion over mine, so I am pretty darn sure he is going to believe these things until the day he dies.

Can I really fault him for that? How much have you believed in your life because someone you heard it from someone you trusted to know/tell you the truth?
