I am interested in the personal beliefs of Wiccans regarding their worship of the Diety - not anyones guess or thoughts on it - I'm talking about personal religious systems of Wiccans.

Wicca is so broad, I have a hard time grasping the views. I've seen Wiccans argue for one side of a coin, and then another Wiccan argue the opposite side all at the same time! I've come to the conclusion that Wicca is the new unbrella term for modern worship-as-you-see-fit of ancient dieties.

Recently I have been getting a lot of bad luck, I feel depressed and fatigue is setting in. I have Aspergers Syndrome (autism). So people know I'm intelligent, but with this comes a curse and that is what the "bad luck" thing is about. Honestly I feel like crying. Almost suicidal due the way people treat me. On top of this I have an embarrassing addiction that I can't get rid of because people think of it as "normal" but I hate it.

So in conclusion is God punishing me for this addiction? And my intelligence is not at its full potential because of this and therefore I feel something writing inside of me but can't let it free. I suspect this is depression. It surfaced during the pre-addiction years...

Please help.

No matter how much I pray, I'm not given a sign. I used to get them but I feel I'm losing that sense of self-worth and faith nad security.

And to make things worse a girl who "mentally rejected" me throws things to my face like touching my friends face...

He is promoting ecumenicism. What is the great commission people? To kiss each other and say go get warm and be filled? Or is it to preach the gospel so that people can be saved? The gospel is an offense for the perishing but that is not our concern. These souls hearing the gospel and God saving them is our concern. NOT if we are getting along?!! NO COMPROMISE!!!!

In the King Follett Discourse, Joseph Smith said, "My Father worked out his kingdom with fear and trembling, and I must do the same. And when I get to my kingdom, I shall present it to my Father, so that he may obtain kingdom upon kingdom, and it will exalt him in glory. He will then take a higher exaltation, and I will take his place, and thereby become exalted myself."

Smith clearly references apothesis here.

I know that God is not a partial God, neither a changeable being; but he is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity" (Moroni 8:18).

"For do we not read that God is the same yesterday, today and forever, and in him there is no variableness, neither shadow of changing? And now, if ye have imagined up unto yourselves a god who doth vary, and in whom there is shadow of changing, then ye have imagined up unto yourselves a god who is not a God of miracles" (Mormon 9:9-10).

GOD is the same now as forever.

My 3 children were baptized the Godfather is Catholic and the Godmother is non-catholic. No questions were asked and now since my 4th child has been baptized the same Godparents were used, and now since I am asking for a ceritficate a red flag has come up and telling me that I can't use the Godmother as a Godparent because of not being Catholic. Now I'm trying to figure out why did the priest tell me that it was fine and now the record keepers are telling me it's not. And I'm trying to find some proof somewhere on the internet who is right and who is wrong. (Hopefully something that can back my priest up so I can settle this matter, since we no longer are at the same parish)

it used to be people would say look at all the complexity in the world. there had to have been a designer who was responsible for all of this, thus this is proof of the existence of god. then as science advanced, those willing to accept scientific fact over faith realized that the story of life on this planet was a little more complicated than the story of creation in genesis. however, it seems with this realization there is a new breed of christians forming, those who are willing to accept the big bang theory. but, there's a catch. now they're claiming that since scientists can't explain what caused the big bang, that this must be proof of a god. certainly something had to cause the big bang, right? what i'm wondering is when scientists eventually have an answer for what caused the big bang, will this open the door for new questions that have yet to be unanswered, like "what caused the cause?" if so, and scientists don't readily have an answer, will this be new proof of a god?

"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters - yes, even his own life - he cannot be my disciple." -- (Luke 14:26)

Most Christians feel obligated to soften the face meaning of the word 'hate' to something like 'love less than me,' even though the Greek word miseo means 'HATE.'

one of the commandments (which one escapes me) says that "thou shall not murder"
so if someone came into your home, and attempted to harm your family, would you take time to consider this commandment, or act in defense of your family?

I mean, assuming that a married Christian couple enjoys "golden showers", is it sinful? They're "allowed" to be sexual with each other, so... is urophilia permissible to God?

Here's an explanation of "watersports" and "golden showers" for those who don't know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urophilia

My husband was with a co-worker when the topic of religion came up. She, being Mormon spoke of her beliefs and my husband, being more spiritually open-minded spoke of his beliefs. Somehow she became offended because he did not agree with what she was saying. He simply wanted to inform her that he believes all paths lead to God, not just the Mormon path. She took great offense at this, just because he said what he believes. Now she has gotten him in trouble with their boss for harrassment. His job is on the line and I know in my heart that he did nothing wrong. Can someone please tell me if this is right for a company to reprimand someone for simply stating their beliefs. Also, we live in a country where the constitution protects our right to chose our own religion. Does this not apply in the state of Utah?

Granted labels are what they are, woefully incomplete words that can't really convey ideas adequatly. Given that, we still have to label groups something to talk about them. Language is just a b-tch that way. LDS people just sounds silly, it makes you sould like you have a disease that we have to abreviate. So what's a one word (Protestant, Muslim, Buddhist etc.) thing we can call you (them)?

Please, leave aside the "Cult" and "Brainwashed" jokes. Seriously, I'm just asking and not trying to engage in Mormon-bashing.
