Well I'm an eclectic pagan, my husband is Asatuar, my best friend is Buddhist, my councilor is an Atheist, and most everyone else I know around here is some form of Christian. What religion a person is really doesn't matter to me, it's what they do. How do they treat people? I enjoy being around people who are open to other people's ideas and don't judge based on their beliefs. A closed mind should come with a closed mouth.

i could definately accept as true with Bobobobobobobo [although many circumstances that's]. I additionally could no longer get into lots of the "classics" like DBZ,Pokemon after Season 4 or so,MARS,Digimon, that style of stuff. and that i additionally agree that dissimilar what's on Anime community top now's kinda bland.wedding ceremony Peach is purely too previous searching for me,and it has a dumb plot in my opinion.and that i've got already seen Gravitation and Azumanga Daioh [love em the two lol]. maximum of you assert all of it! :3 I would desire to as quickly as returned agree,Vampire Knight is being heavily overpraised! I even have yet to examine or watch the anime, yet i've got examine the final plot.this is surprisingly much a purely like another sequence available.i think of persons are purely getting caught up interior the theory something with Vampires in this is the best factor ever.

Honestly, I have different types in my family. I might wonder why you introduced yourself and said "Hi, I'm atheist" It would depend if you said it like you were trying to edge me on in a discussion. But most likely I would say "oh" and just keep going on with my life. My sister is a druid kinda earth loving person (really no particular religion.) Her husband is atheist but he likes norse gods (or something like that). I know alot about mythology and ancient civilizations so I kinda know what they are both talking about. My other sis is some Christian faith (between baptist, nonden, and wherever she finds a mass?). I'm RC. I have to admit I do pray for my sister. But I don't understand why that should be a big deal. If grace is there and if God wants to work it in her. He will. If it's not His will then I could pray all my life and it won't matter.

I am neither a racist nor am i a zelot, but like most ppl I have my biases; yet i could not bring myself to discriminate against anyone because of any type of personal triat or voiced oppinion. I may not like people who try to 'force' others to become whatever religion they themselves have. I am physically handicaped, and have put up with a lot of stuff in my 25 yrs of being alive, but I could not hate any one for any reason. Yet I am against racism, zelotry, and general consperitorial idocy; but i do not hate the person who has these kinda of atributes/ideal I just dislike the atribute/ideal. I am a Pagan who used to be a Christian and ur friend is right the Bible (more aptly the teachings of Jesus Christ) do not voice the things that most "I am Holier than you" Christians tell people like you and me. Well i digressed a little, but I really had to think about my answer for your question.

I would be a fool to hate some one for asking this kind of a question.

Peace Be with you.

I personnally would think that was interesting and something to learn about and to be honest I would probably ask you why. Just because I wanted to know. In my family we have a very eclectic blend of religions between my two parents, myself and my 2 siblings there is an agnostic, a christian, a Roman Catholic, a Pagan and a Shaman. We all get along fine. We spent some time learning about each others beliefs and reasons for them and learned to accept them. The Christians have learned that the non-Christians feel as strongly about their religions as they do. And the Pagans have realized that Christians have strength in their convictions to, so no one argues. We respect each other as people and seek to learn from each other, and let me tell you it can be very educational.

I wish Y!A had the ability to insert pie charts. I would say that less than a quarter of the people that I've told in person that I am an atheist have reacted with nonchalance. Everyone else seems to treat me as a different person once I tell them. I get responses ranging from "You're going to hell" to people screaming at me about me being the devil and quoting bible verses.

There are some people who are convinced that their belief system is the only valid belief system. They simply can't tolerate another path. You're always going to get grief from them. Walking up to someone and anouncing your religious persuasion unbidden is something of an invitation to conflict. It's better to act the part and let them ask questions out of curiosity.

No, it doesn't and shouldn't matter, but those with hatred in their hearts will make a big deal out of it. Don't worry about them, you just focus on being a good person. Regardless of religious belief or lack thereof, a good person is a good person. Anyone that says differently only undermines their own credibility.

No, they shouldn't discriminate. I wouldn't discriminate. However, I do know that there is a God. The only way to find out is by praying and asking. What do you have to lose?
